Today is a little different. You see, my parents, who watch my kids after school went to Hawaii this past week. I know, life’s rough. lol! Anyway, because of this I took late lunches all week and would pick up my yougest from school and bring her back to work with me. She would sit and do her homework while I worked, but she got rewards when she completed each item. One of those was watching a video.
So when I went to get the video for this week and post it she said, “No mama, you need to post these!” I, of course, tried to steer her in my own direction stating that as much as I liked those videos I really didn’t want to post them.
Guess what? Her pouty lip, her big blue eyes and her persistence won out and so today you get 2 of my youngest daughter’s favorite songs from the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from 1968. Enjoy!
Oh I adored this movie as a child, but "Truly Scrumptious" was my favorite song!
This song from the movie sticks in my head.
Thanks for the childhood flashback!
:o)

Hey Tracy 🙂
I have never ever seen this movie. I know the title, but never even seen a clip until now!
Our kids sure have a way with swaying us to their way! It's hard sometimes to tell them no :).
Ms. M – Truly Scrumptious is one of my favs as well. Actually most of the songs from the this movie I really like. I love when the grandpa sings Posh and of course the scene at the fair when van Dyke dances to Me Ole Bamboo.
Amy – OMG I've watched this so many times it's ridiculous! I loved it as a kid and my kids love it so much we own a copy. If you do decide to rent it be prepared – it's LONG. lol
Normally I don't have a problem saying no to my kids but she was just so sweet AND adamant! lol
Flashback! Wow, it's been forever since I saw that one.
One of my favorites when I was a kid. Your daughter has great taste!
You're a good Mom. 🙂
I never saw this one until I was an adult. It's not my fave and I've only seen a few times. However I could watch Mary Poppins for days.
Who can resist a pouty lip and big blue eyes on an adorable child, right? 🙂
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend, Tracy!
Chris – I know! It was a flashback for me too when she asked to view them in the first place. 🙂
Leslie – Yes, yes she does. lol
Tam – I'm a sucker, is what I am! lol But thanks. 🙂
I think I saw Mary Poppins once and only once. *sigh* I was so deprived as a child. lol One of my favs was Hans Christian Andersen with Danny Kaye – loved that one! Watched it many, MANY times as a kid.
Janna – She really does do the "oh poor pitiful me, don't you want to do it my way?" really well! 🙂
You have a great weekend too!
Wow, it's been years and years since I last saw that movie! Thanks for the flashback. 🙂
Fantastic! Thank you! Some movies always stand the test of time 🙂
