Tuesday Teaser – Whisper Kiss

Posted July 27, 2010 by Tracy in Reviews | 11 Comments

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today’s Teaser comes from Whisper Kiss by Deborah Cooke (Book 5 in the Dragonfire series) page 268 (ARC):

Rox knew what it was like to have a broken family.  She knew how it could leave you rootless, how it could make you yearn for something you’d never had and knew you’d never find.

  1. Chris – Broken families always get my interest.

Janna – Not much to choose from where I opened the book. lol

    Lily – Than ks

Audrey – If you like dragon shifters then these are great books and this is #5 so you'd have a few to read before this one releases. 🙂

  2. Janna NO! I'm shocked to my foundation that you would even think to do such a thing. 🙂 I've been very good so far and haven't cheated. And I've been so tempted to add more than 2 sentences as well. *sigh* I guess I'm just a good girl.
    Hey! No laughing!

  3. I totally cheat… although usually it's just that I use the page I'm on for this and Friday 56, since I hate changing pages in my reader just to play.

  4. All this cheating! *sticks fingers in ears* lalalala

Chris dear – I don't consider staying on the same page as you're reading cheating. It's still a random page to someone else, now isn't it?

Janna – *ahem* I believe I said no laughing! 😉

  5. Ohhh, great teaser Tracy! It caught my interest 🙂

And…umm…I'm with Chris & Janna, although I think I'm worse. If I read a sentence I think would be great for a teaser I use that… *hides behind couch*

And today's teaser (I read this earlier today) is from Lynn Flewelling's Stalking Darkness (fantasy with a hint of m/m [she said hopefully *grin*]):

Dusk was settling outside the windows of Seregil's bedchamber when Alec strode in with flushed cheeks and new snow melting in his hair. The sweet tang of a cold ocean wind still clung to him.
