Are you ever going about your day and someone says something or you hear just a bit or a piece of music that reminds you of a certain song? It happens to me quite frequently as a matter of fact – and happened this week. I’m not sure if it was a bit of music or a word, or what, but something triggered my brain to remember Rock Me by Great White from their Once Bitten… album. I know, the album was released in 1987 – some of you weren’t born yet – but it was a great song…then and now.
The video is just a crack up – now. I’m sure I thought it was all that and a bag of chips when I first saw it. The lead singer looking all sexy while he’s singing, the hair (omg the hair) and the earrings. Then there’s the model in the vid who is beautiful but what the heck is she doing at the end? Does she turn into some kind of fish woman? Is that a Great White tie-in? IDK – you decide. But funny vid or not this will always remain a favorite of mine.

I have no idea what the woman is doing. Kind of undulating in scales there. "Rock Me In the Night", don't see the tie in. But 80's videos often crack me up for all the reasons you mentions.

Lea – Sometimes I love going back and viewing some of the old vids that I loved in the past. Some I still like and others I just think to myself – what the hell was I thinking???? lol

You've never heard of them? They had some great songs way back when. This vid has really poor quality but it was the only one I could find that I could imbed. The remastered HD version on Youtube wouldn't let me imbed – waaaaah!

I think I listened to that too, Chris! I had very varied & eclectic taste in music – anywhere from the Boston Pops to heavy metal to Devo to Mozart. (I'm still like that but I've managed to cut out the Devo. lol)

OMG…Those 80's hair bands were the bomb! I was a giddy pre-teen for a lot of them :P. I so remember that song! I thought that long hair was so hot…not so much anymore though. Give me a shaved head any day ;).
And yes, there are things that will remind me of certain songs :).
Heh, my musical taste remains eclectic, too – I have everything from Cloud Cult to Godsmack to the Amelie soundtrack to Leonard Cohen in my media library…
