  1. I have so many favorites; its hard to choose one! I think I’ll go with Nalini Singh, though, because she introduced me to something completely different with her Psy/Changeling series.

  2. Oh, I have so many favorites…I guess I’ll go with Richelle Mead since I love her Succubus series and am currently reading her Vampire Academy series. Ms. Mead is certainly a talented writer!

  3. Me too, I have a few favorites.

Right now, I know I’m a little behind the times but trying to catch up with the Twilight saga. I’m reading NEW MOON and absolutely loving it. Stephenie Meyers just draws the reader in with her style of writing and heroine’s POV. Its hard to put the books down.

  4. I would definitely have to go with Nalini Singh..I love her psy-changeling world. The men are just drool-worthy with their toughness, possessiveness, and the charm, and the women have enough spine to make thier men melt.

  5. JR Ward hands down for me. She captured me from the begining and I was obsessed with the BDB and still can’t get enough. She has created a world I want to jump just head long into!

  6. I would have to say Richelle Mead. I have read the Vampire Academy and the Storm Born series and I am now reading Succubus and it does not disappoint!

  7. Vic

Going with Nalini Singh for her fabulous Psy / Changling series. I love the world building of urban fantasy mixed with the romance. I also really enjoyed the first book of the Angel Guild as well.

  8. Hi BB, I would say Christine Feehan, as she does “paranormal” in many different ways, has strong sassy heroines, and there’s lots of sexy chemistry between the couples. Guarantees me a great read almost every time!

  9. I’m new to this genre. I just started reading ‘Circus of the Damned’ by Laurell K. Hamilton and I’m finding myself not wanting to put the book down. Have a great day.

  10. Kelley Armstrong is my favorite. She create a vast world with so many different characters she could write about.I like all the different POV’s. Plus she Canadian too 🙂

  11. I love Kresley Cole, she is one of the first that I have read of her entire paranormal series, but actually found her through her historicals.

I would love to win this prize since it has the new Michelle Beattie, and the Yasmine Gaelnorn

  12. Jeaniene Frost is a new obsession — I love how she can sustain the tension between Cat and Bones even though they’re actually together. And Cat kicks major ass.

Oh, and Karen Marie Moning of course, for all time. From Time-traveling Highlanders and Unseelie-Kicking-MacKayla (and let’s not forget existentially and morally ambiguous Barrons!)

  13. I love paranormal in a big way and have ltos of ‘faves’ including nalini Singh, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Laurell K Hamilton, Patricia Briggs and many more but the ‘best’ one in my opinion has to be Christine Feehan because she does more than one kind of Paranormal and does them all justice.

  14. Luci

I admit I haven’t read too many paranormals but my favourite at the moment is Charlaine Harris. her books are light and real fun to read.

  15. I don’t read too much paranormal, but Emma Holly comes to mind. I like her. And LL Foster, I like what she has done as well.

    Thanks!

  16. Wow, there’s so many that are on my absolute must have list. I’m a huge fan of Shayla Black, Angela Knight, and Larissa Ione because they’ll go out to the edge and jump. You alwasy get a good story, strong characters, and hot passion with these authors.

  17. I can’t pick only one. My favorites are Nalini Singh, KMM, Richelle Mead and JR Ward. Each write different kind of books, but I love them all. Some are funny, some are sexy, some are dark…

  18. Hmm…. How about Kim Harrison’s Rachel Morgan series? I found this a very fresh universe upon first reading it and still love it. Also, it makes eating tomatoes seem transgressive. : )

  19. My favorite paranormal author used to be Sherrilyn Kenyon but Nalini Singh is just about even with her. And Kelley Armstrong is great, too. I just love the genre.

  20. Favourite paranormal author is hands down Kelley Armstrong. The Otherworld universe is so complicated and full of characters that it’s still interesting after 10+ books!

    Good luck, everyone!

  21. I don’t really have a favorite. There are so many that are auto-buy for me, that it is hard to pick just one. I’ll say Kresley Cole is at my top. I love her books. They are so hard for me to put down. I usually end up reading her books in six hours.

  22. Karen Marie Moning…I love her tt Higlanders – she rights great dialogue, and smokin sex scenes! Plus, I always have several laugh out loud moments while reading her – and always because they were intended to be funny (which is a good thing). 😉

  23. I used to love JR Ward, but her stories have just been dragging with too much everything and she’s no longer an auto-buy for me (library now that they come out in hardback). I’m really into Patricia Briggs right now. I like the down to earth qualities that Mercy has and her interactions with Adam.

  24. There are so many great authors out there. I would have to choose J.R. Ward. The Black Dagger Brotherhood has pulled me in from the start and I really enjoy her writing.
