Day fifteen! We have an interesting mix for you today:
Her Secret Lover by Sara Bennett
Obsidian Prey by Jayne Castle
Secret Diary of a Call Girl by Anonymous
Return to Sullivan’s Island by Dorthea Benton Frank
Today’s question will reference yesterday‘s question. If you had the book you wanted autographed and could sell it for $100, would you?
This is a daily giveaway, which means it ends today. The winner will be announced at midnight tonight, PDT. Because we’ll need a little time to pick a winner, the contest will end at 10 p.m. pdt.
Remember, we’ll be giving a Book Bag away every weekday (Monday-Friday) for the rest of the month!
Um, not just no but HELL NO! (pardon the language & the shouting, but you hit a hot button).
Hmmm. Probably not!
Nope. $100 would not be enough. Heck, I honestly don’t know that any amount would be enough! 🙂
No way! It would be priceless
Nah, $100 isn’t enough. It would have more sentimental value than that.
Definitely not! I would keep it.
Oh no, sell my autographed copy of Outlander….heck no.
No, I wouldn’t. It would be a treasured book for me.
Humm it would depend, if my family really needed the money then yes. If not then no way.
hugs,
WendyK
Nope! I’m a crazy book collector and think I’d need to keep it. 🙂 Just for me!

No way, I’m too selfish of a book worm. There are several books that I was lucky to get autographed and they have a very special section on my keeper shelf 🙂
No, I would not sell it for $100. If I have an autographed book, that means I had put some time and effort to get it. And the book would mean too much to me to sell it for $100.
Thanks,
Tracey D
I’m sorry, sell a book that I had signed? No. Not ever. Not in a million years. I might even starve first.
Sell it? No way! Because then what would I do with the shrine I built around it?
Honestly? It really would depend on if I needed the money. It would of course be after i had exhausted all other venues but if it came to it, I would definitely consider it.
It depends… I didn’t answer yesterday’s question because I couldn’t think of a book that I’d be dying to have autographed. I did get a book autographed (historical non-fiction) last year by the author whom I had brought into speak at our campus. And I probably wouldn’t sell that particular book because it is personalized to me (and I spent 2 days with that person showing him around our town, having dinner, and got an invitation to visit next time we’re in his city – so it feels more like a friendship than a autograph, if that makes sense).
However, I’m not much of a “collector” so yeah, in most cases I’d probably sell for $100. And then use to money to buy another copy of that book and more books to read! 🙂
$100?? No Way~! now $1,000, maybe – depends on how bad I needed the money – but def not a measly 100!

Nope never, 100 dollars would not be worth it…but more, yes perhaps then if I needed the money
I have so few autographed books, that I wouldn’t sell them for anything.
Of course not! Except if that money would help someone close in great need
I don’t currently have any autographed books, so if I got one, I wouldn’t sell it for $100.

I already have the book I want autographed and no way would I ever sell it not for $100 nor for $100million!
No, I collect autographed books!

No way. I honestly treasure my signed books that I have and wouldn’t want to part with any of them.
NOT!!

Hmmmm…depends…if it’s a book I really wanted autographed (like Diana Gabaldon…which I will be getting mine signed at her reading/signing NEXT WEEK OMGSQUEEE!)then I say no way.
But if it’s one I was meh on, like my copy of Water for Elephants I have signed by Sara Gruen (she lives not too far from me and did a reading/signing at our local Borders) then for $100…probably; if I knew the person buying it really wanted it and loved that book/author.
No way!!! Sometimes you get lucky enough to find an author that you can go back to over and over again. Autographed or not, I usually keep those forever.
Unless someone in my family really needed the money then I’d say no. But I’d do whatever I had to for my family.
That would be a big no!
No way!!!

I woudn’t. Books are too precious to me.
Heck, even if the book was unsigned, but was on my DIK shelf and was out of print, I still wouldn’t sell it!
Hmm, probably not. Unless I really needed the money, then yes.
Good question!
Erin 🙂
No, I wouldn’t sell it.
Um, I don’t think so!
🙂
I definitely wouldn’t…good question though!
Nope, no how, no way. Of course, both of mine would be worth way more than that!
Then again, I wouldn’t even see a signature without high retail value, it it had sentimental value. My copy of Beyond Heaving Bosoms, personalized by Candy Tan? Not a chance!
(But don’t pick me, ‘cos I won yesterday!)
No for all the one written out to me.
Yes if I found one in a bookstore with just a signature.
But for authors I love? Not parting with it!!

Dangit – I think I’m late so don’t put me in. You know me and my sleeping habits. Stupid sleep 🙁
