  1. My favorite straight contemporary ??? that’s an incredible difficult question to answer with all those great new authors appearing each years !!!

Well my pick would be an SEP, who is for me the QUEEN of the genre. I’m choosing This Heart of Mine : there is nothing I would change, a realy perfect book for me 😉

  2. Scorpio

My favorite is “Ain’t She Sweet” by SEP. It was SO well done and the little Heyer blurbs before each chapter were so funny!

  3. Actually I don’t like Contemporary romance so I read very few of it and rom what I read I would say my favorite is Beautiful Girl by Shiloh Walker

WOW, guess it’s agreed we ALL think SEP is the “Queen of Contemporary”!! I can’t even pick one of hers, they were all great!! Luv this package today.

  5. Wow – great giveaway!! I haven’t read much contemporary romance, although I do have a a few in my TBR. I’d have to go with How To Score by Robin Wells, it was cute and I liked the ending.

  6. I don’t usually read much contemporary romance, but I have to confess that I loved Vision in White by Nora Roberts. Even though she’s very predictable, she’s a mind candy read for me. 🙂

  7. My recent favorite contemporary is Susan Mallery’s Lone Star Sisters series and Sunset Bay, hers as well.

  8. Favorite straight contemporary? Oh geez. Uh… something by SEP. Can I narrow it down? Not really. Breathing Room, Heaven Texas, Lady be Good, Kiss an Angel… yeah.

  9. As everyone else said SEP! Everytime I’m asked a direct questions I pull a blank! I know there are others I could list but … Oh Well! sorry!

  10. Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie is my all time favorite straight contemporary. I can reread this book any time and never get tired of it!

  11. There is no way I can list just one. Maybe I can limit my list to just five. 😉

IT HAD TO BE YOU by SEP
TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE by Kristan Higgins
ANYONE BUT YOU by Jennifer Crusie
    VIRGIN RIVER by Robyn Carr
NOT ANOTHER BAD DATE by Rachel Gibson

Even as I finish this list, I am thinking of more to add!

  12. I really don’t read contempary romances but I did read A Run for the Money by Gina Ardito last week. It was such a sweet and refreshing story; quite different from the books I normally read.

So I’ll have to Gina Ardito is my fav.

    Thanks,
    Tracey

  13. Oh gosh, I really don’t know. I am going to have to go with Lori Foster. Any of her stuff I really like. I liked Hard to Handle and Simon Says.

    Thanks for anther great giveaway

  14. Tough question! Several authors come to mind, including Victoria Dahl, Robin Wells, and Kristan Higgins. But in the end I think I have to go with Nora Roberts. Oh, pick one title? Um, I just made that really hard on myself! It really depends on my mood, but one that I’m almost always happy to re-read is Black Rose, the middle book in her Garden trilogy.

Oh, and CONGRATS on the BBAW!!

  15. Amy Kathryn

I don’t do much contemporary, but some recent recs had me reading Victoria Dahl. I really enjoyed Talk Me Down and its follow up.

  16. I love this question. Contemps are all I read.

Hard to choose one – so here are a few:

Kiss an Angel by you know who. LOL.

    Sarah’s Child by Linda Howard

    Anything by Catherine Anderson.

    Robyn Carr’s Virgin River series.

Susan Mallery’s Buchanans, Titan and Sweet series – all hers arew awesome.

    Three Wishes – Barbara Delinsky
