I really like the books that I’ve read by Susan Donovan so I’m really excited to read this one. Was this the author that was supposed to have stopped writing contemporaries? I can’t remember but this book looks good and I can’t wait for it. Mark your calendars because this one comes out on November 3, 2009 so you’ve got a wait but I was too dang happy to find this (because I thought she wasn’t writing anymore contemps but maybe it was someone else) so this is definitely going on my calendar!
Check out the blurb:
Josie Sheehan collects failed relationships the way some women collect designer handbags. Now, at thirty-five, she has exactly one male in her life: her Labradoodle, Genghis. In fact Josie, along with the three very single women in her dog-walking group, has recently sworn off men, resigning herself to long walks in the park with her devoted, four-legged friend.
All bets are off, however, when she meets Rick Rousseau, a pet-company CEO who is smart, sexy, and, best of all, head-over-heels for Josie. Even Genghis, an excellent judge of character, seems to know that Rick is the real deal. But just when Josie starts to think that she has found something more enduring than puppy love, she discovers that Rick has a complicated past—and a secret that could put the woman he loves in serious danger…
Looks like it’ll be a good one. Woot! Any Susan Donovan fans out there? Who’s looking forward to reading this book?
This book is available from St. Martin’s Press. You can buy it here.
I haven’t read any of her books. Any suggestions on where to begin??
I love Susan Donovan! I’ll go pre-order today.

I’ve only read one book by Susan Donovan and that was The Girl Most Likely To…and I did enjoy it. What other books by S.D. that you have read and would recommend?
I’m adding this book to my TBB list. Thanks for the update!
I love SD’s books I have read He Loves Lucy and Public Displays of Affection and thoroughly enjoyed them both. They both had laugh out load moments. KeriM
I love SD, can’t wait to read this one too (plus it’s a series, Yay !)
“Take A Chance On Me” is my favorite book by Susan. Haven’t had a chance to read her current release yet.
I have read all Susan Donovan books (except the ones part of anthologies as I do not like short books), and I have enjoyed them all.
This book is part of a trilogy if I am not mistaken.
The books she has written till now are not related so you can start anywhere, although the last two were her weaker two IMO. Still enjoyed them mind you.
