This is my crack. My addiction that I can’t seem to kick (not that I really want to, okay yes I do). There’s just something about this series that I can’t get enough of and even though the series is going down a path that I can’t get behind, still I’m looking forward to reading this book. What makes me sleep better at night, is knowing that I won’t be buying this book because it only comes out in hardcover and well, even though I know I’ll read it…I won’t be buying it.
No siree.
I’ll be reading this book in the bookstore like all the other cheapskates out there. But for those of you guys who are addicted just like me and have to own a copy for yourself, this book goes on sale on August 4, 2009 so be at the bookstore and get your book then.
Check out the synopsis:
A stunning and suspenseful new landscape emerges in the thrilling Dark-Hunter world—a world where nothing will ever be the same again. . .
Fang Kattalakis isn’t just a wolf. He is the brother of two of the most powerful members of the Omegrion: the ruling council that enforces the laws of the Were-Hunters. And when war erupts among the lycanthropes, sides must be chosen. Enemies are forced into shaky alliances. And when the woman Fang loves is accused of betraying her people, her only hope is that Fang believes in her. Yet in order to save her, Fang must break the law of his people and the faith of his brothers. That breech could very well spell the end of both their races and change their world forever.
The war is on and time is running out…
Ooh it’s Fang and Amee’s book, well hot damn, finally.
This book is available from St. Martin’s Press. You can pre-order it here.
Finally indeed, Rowena! 🙂 I’m getting this one, just because it’s a Were-Hunter book 🙂
I was going to be cheap and wait for it to come out in paperback. But Fang’s book…
Damnit, I need to start saving my pennies.
Fang’s and Amee’s book, how am I going to be able to resist buying that? What I may do is go to the library, read it and then buy it when it comes out in paperback. I just can’t do hardback price no matter what kind of crack it is. 🙂 I do hope it is wrote like her first couple of books in the series. KeriM
I’m still addicted to this series even after a few disappointments but I won’t be buying it in hc – got it requested from the library.
It does seem like we’ve been waiting a long time for Fang and Amee’s story. We should get some Vane and Bride too. 🙂
I love the series too. However, I refuse to buy it in hardback. Let’s face it, the first books in the series really dealt heavily with the romance aspect of the story, whereas the later ones are more about world building.
I like the world she’s building, but I prefer a story with a heavier dose of romance. Plus, although she can write a really great love scene, lately they’re more perfunctory and I get the feeling her heart’s not into it.
I’m waiting for the paperback.
I’m definitely not going to buy the hardcover, but I do want to read this. Well, maybe…
In a recent newsletter SK said this book is the size of 2 regular novels – TWICE the size of a normal book. If this book is over 700 pages there’s no effing way I’m reading it. I just can’t imagine the kind of torture she’s going to put the characters through if that’s the case.
If, however, Amazon and other online booksellers are correct and the book is only about 350 pages, then yes, I’ll be reading it.
I won’t be buying it in hc, but I will definitely be at the bookstore to read it as we will be moving to another state the week before I can’t pre-order it from the library..
