Do you remember this book? I read it at the beginning of April and had this to say about it:
And last but not least a category that Barbara sent me -just cuz…isn’t she sweet? Thanks again Barbara! It was called Bound to Please by Hope Tarr and it was really cute. A young girl and boy meet at a fair one day when she’s 14 and he’s 12. He falls immediately for her and she’s pretty taken with him. They do a blood pledge that neither will marry another. Now it’s 10 years later and the girl, Brianna, is now Laird of her clan and the boy, Ewan, has been captured for crimes that his twin brother supposedly commited. But Briana just wants a baby by Ewan to end the blood feud..at least that’s what she’s telling herself. But when these two come together they realized that those innocent feeling they had 10 years earlier haven’t faded at all and were only growing stronger. I very much enjoyed the story (I had no idea that there were Blaze historicals – have I been living in a bubble? I thought they were all contemporaries) and will definitely be checking out some other books by this author.
The book had originally been sent to me by Barbara (thank you, sweetie) but then I found out from Amy that she had sent it to Barbara. With a hint from Amy I decided to start sending it around. So I then sent it to Renee (who had this to say about it) and she sent it to Katie. Right now Katie has it and from what she says she’s enjoying it as well. However Katie doesn’t know where to send it next and I’d hate for its travels to be over.
The question: Would you like to be next on the list to receive the book? Are you willing to then send it on after you’re done reading it? Email me at redneyrae AT ca DOT rr DOT com if you’re interested!
LOL, cute! I hope Renee, likes it, too!!
I’m currently reading this one. I’m about half way though. It’s pretty good. 🙂
I had seen that Renee was reading and was wondering if you had sent it to her, but forgot to ask :).
Barb – she DID. It’s such a cute book.
Anna – see, if I’d known you’d wanted it we could have sent it on! 🙂
Amy – now you can read what she thought! It really was cute. I have to go to her site and see what else she’s written that I might like.
LOL! I actually went in search of it a few months back. Of course eharlequin was sold out, but I end up finding at a Used book store.
This is actually the first Harlequin book I’ve ever read. I read the Nocturne line, but this is a first for the Harlequin line.
What a great idea! I’ve already read it, but if you haven’t, you should. I don’t know anyone (myself included) that hasn’t given it a good review.
Yup, I remember reading it months ago and Amy saying I would like it. It was a really cute story.
Please, I think I’m going to have to make a list and let you all choose if you want any of the books I’ve read. I kid you not, my house is packed. I have no more room for them anymore. I have them in the bedroom, the diningroom, EVERYWHERE. My poor husband can’t take it anymore, lol.
I just refuse to throw any away. Like anything you love, you want to make sure it goes to a loving home 😉
I have to read Renee’s review…
Hi Tracy! Hi Ladies:
I’m so thrilled everyone is reading and enjoying BOUND TO PLEASE. Actually it was the first book to launch the new Historical Series within the Blaze line and readers seem to be responding very positively to these sexy historicals in a short format.
Right now I’m finishing revisions on the sequel to BOUND TO PLEASE. TWELVE NIGHTS will be out this December 2009 and picks up where BOUND leaves off to tell Callum and Alys’s story. I’d say more but I don’t want to spoil BOUND for anyone still reading. The title plays on the Twelve Days of Christmas, or Twelvetide as they called it, and yes, it’s a Christmas book. I hope you’ll check it out and let me know what you think.
And I’m still writing plenty of contemporaries, too. My latest for Blaze, EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE… (Jan. 2009) is still available at EHarlequin.com as well as amazon.com etc. It’s set in Manhattan (where I live) and Belize (where I now aspire to vacation). 😉
Anyhoo, happy spring everyone. Personally I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to take my backlogged beach reads to an actual beach.
Hope
Anna – I like the Nocturne line too – as well as the Blaze. Some of the SuperRomances are really good too. They all have their appeal to someone! 🙂
Lori – I know! It’s gotten good reviews all over the place!
Hope! Wow so cool that you dropped by. It’s nice to see that there will be a follow up to BtP! And of course will love to see Callum and Alys’s story.
And I’ve just given up waiting for the beach with the beach reads. Even though it’s close it’s too chilly there! 🙂 Take care
You’re most welcome, Tracy. And happy birthday, btw. I’m 44 myself and I know what you mean about the sticker shock of seeing those double digits. And here I was just getting used to 40. Ah well, I’m still counting it as “early” 40’s. See, we’re but babes in arms–or is it just babes? 😉
Sticker shock – what a perfect term for turning 44! lol
Thank you for the birthday wishes.
And btw – it’s just Babes! *wink*
Ooooh. A sequel? Jotting that down. How excellent!
