Ye Old Blog Turns 1 Today

When I was searching the intertubes for anniversary stuff last November for my big 15 years of being shackled married I found this poem. Seriously, I just had to laugh when I started relating it to the 1 year anniversary on my blog. Why would I do that, you ask? Mmmmm…not a clue. Let’s just say that stranger things have happened. Lol Sometimes my mind works in mysterious ways.

So without further ado…here is the 1 year anniversary poem for my blog and my blogging friends :

You Complete Me

I couldn’t have lived till now (maybe this is stretching the truth just a tad)
If it wasn’t for you (cuz I would have quit from lack of hits!)

I would have been so lost

Not knowing what to do (which was kind of how it was at the beginning anyway *shrugs*)


You put me together (like a Mrs. Potato Head)
Only now can I see (cuz of the new specs, dontcha know)

You make me what I am

You complete me (are you feelin the love?)

We’re two different halves (ok, maybe not halves, maybe more like a million different pieces floating in cyberspace)

Put together, we’re one whole

Every beat of my heart is yours (oh gag)

Everyday I pray for your soul (dude, why would the author of this poem pray for their partners soul unless it was friggin black? On second thought, maybe this person is a religious zealot! That’s it!)


It’s just your smile I need to see (or read)

When there’s no other remedy

You put me together (didn’t we already have this line?)

You complete me

I’m too scared to let you go (cuz the blog would die – duh!)

I never want to lose you

If you weren’t here with me

I’d never know what to do (or what to post)


All I feel now are joys

All my sorrows are history (oh, please stop)

What else can I say now? (nothing would be good)

It’s because you complete me. (awwwww)


Ok – all kidding aside…kind of. I have had sooo much stinking fun the past year on my blog and it’s all because of the wonderful blogging friends that I’ve made who’ve taken the time out of their busy schedules to come say hi and play. I guess what I’m trying to say is: You. Complete. Me. (sorry, I couldn’t resist!).
