I own a Kindle and I want to marry it love it. I have had a Sony Portable Reader and didn’t really think it could get any better than that. Boy, was I wrong. When I received a free-trial of the Kindle, I honestly planned on using it for 30 days, then sending it back. Ha. Obviously they knew I wouldn’t send it back b/c it’s the most awesomest e-reader ever. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a backlight. Other than that, I loves it. The pages turn fast and there’s barely any lag (unlike the Sony Reader). The battery life is pretty good. It fits in my purse. Oh, and it’s wireless. That’s the best part. I love being able to connect whenever I want. And Amazon loves it too. It makes me buy more.

I use my iPhone as an ereader. I think the Kindle is cool in theory but I really like having a multi-function device.
I have an eBookwise eReader, I’ve had it for almost two years and just love it. It isn’t wireless, but it has backlight and there isn’t any lag time.
Yeah, I agree with Anna.
Even thought the Kindles are pretty, I still can’t get over the fact that they are an Amazon product.
Plus, my Ebookwise has treated me well over the last two years. I’m happy to stay with it.
And really, even if I got it for free, I would not use a Kindle. It does not have a backlight and the light is a must.
I have a Kindle 2 and LOVE it. Still love paper books but can see slowly going to mostly ebooks. That said, I have so many books on my shelves to read I don’t think I’ll ever run out of paper books. What a lovely problem, huh?
