Suze has gotten used to ghosts. They wake her up in the middle of the night. They haunt her locker at school. She's even spotted a few down at Carmel Beach. Suze is a mediator, after all, and communicating with the dead is all in a day's work for her. The last thing she ever expected was to fall in love with one: Jesse, a nineteenth-century hottie.

But when she and Paul Slater, himself a mediator of undeniable power (and dubious intent), discover that the powers they share aren't limited to helping ghosts resolve their earthly woes, but can also be used to determine whether or not they become ghosts in the first place, Suze can't help but freak. Not because she suddenly knows how to alter the course of history, but because Paul can, too. And Paul would like nothing better than to prevent Jesse's murder, keeping him from becoming a ghost and allowing him to live a natural life at last ... but in the nineteenth century. Meaning Jesse and Suze would never meet.
Suddenly, Suze is faced with the most important decision of her life: allow the only guy she's ever loved to have the life he's always longed for ... or keep him anchored forever in half-life at her side. Will Jesse choose to live without her, or die to love her?

Will Jesse choose to live without her, or die to love her?

I finished this book earlier this week and I’ve got to say that I loved the way this series ended, because this series DID end with this book, right? Goodness, I hope so because the series needed to end just the way it did in Twilight.

Meg Cabot did an excellent job with this series and I’m being totally serious here. This is a series that I’m enjoying right along with my two nieces, Chloe and Chelsea. Brenna (my daughter) is excited to read it when she turns 14 and my nieces Meghan, Makenna, Chaylene and Cheridan are waiting in line to read this series as well. I’ve read aloud to them nightly and so they are all really looking forward to reading about Suze’s adventures being a mediator and pleasing the many ghosts who came knockin’ or really, yelling in her room.

Meg Cabot sure doesn’t disappoint with Twilight. It was an upbeat, funny story just like her other stories were but I’ve got to say that I wanted to strangle Suze more than once in this book. She was so hot damn whiny about stopping Paul from doing what she didn’t want him to do and if you ask me, her reasons for stopping Paul from doing what he wants to do…for Jesse are so effing selfish they made me want to bitch slap her upside her damn head and then karate chop her knee caps off.

Seriously, the dumb broad shows her age (all of 16) when she bitches and moans about why Paul can’t go through with his plan to “save” Jesse’s life.

I mean, she loved Jesse so much that she wanted him to stay dead and with her in her room for all of her years and however many years it took for him to move on, I guess.

It was so stupid!

But she makes up for her stupidness in the end and I was happy with the way the story ended. It’s all make believe and if I can read and love stories where Dark Hunters get their souls back and give up their immortality to be with the ones they love, I can totally dig ghosts and their lives and whatever that they have in this story.

I would totally recommend this series to anyone that wants to read great, teenage fun chasing ghosts and righting wrongs for the dead. It’s a laugh a minute and the characters are sweet, warm and very lovable.

Get these books now and read them, a treat for all ages!! =)
