This is a test. A test of every life decision Lisa Michaels has ever made.

Lisa thought she’d gotten everything right: The nicest condo, the right career, the best hair, and a perfectly adequate sex life with her stockbroker fiancé. But when the fiancé ditches her at the altar, Lisa’s left questioning every decision she’s ever made. What if her instincts have been steering her wrong all along? And what if she tested that theory by spending one month doing the exact opposite of what she’d normally do?

A crazy-hot fling with a tattooed steelworker from the wrong side of the tracks seems like a good starting point...

Lisa seems to always do the “right” thing.  Unfortunately that didn’t stop her fiancé from leaving her standing at the altar.  When she’s in a bar with her sisters she’s approached but a very large, very muscled man named Dax.  Her gut is telling her to send him away, so she does the opposite of what her gut is telling her – she takes him home for a one-night stand.  Despite it being a one-night stand Lisa really likes Dax.  She decides that she’s going to give herself a test.  She asks for Dax’s help and he agrees.  Lisa basically engages Dax, for the next month, to help her do the opposite of whatever her gut is telling her to do.

Dax is a tattooed, muscled, man yet highly intelligent.  He doesn’t believe he should even be allowed to touch Lisa and her incredibly soft skin.  He does, however, and loves every minute of it.  When she proposes her test, Dax thinks it’s a fun idea and goes along with it.  He never believed that he would start to have feelings for Lisa, so he dreads the end of the month-long test.

This was an incredibly cute book, hot and sexy as well.  Lisa wasn’t as buttoned-up as I think the author wanted us to believe she was but she was still pretty straight-laced.  That didn’t stop her from easily falling in with Dax’s plans for her.  I loved that they got along so well from day one and I loved that they both felt the connection between them from that time as well.

Dax was a good guy but thought Lisa was too good for him.  I was so happy that she stomped on that idea so that he was clear that he definitely was good enough.

The story made me laugh and of course made me blush as well (that Dax is a dirty-talking man, I loved it!)  This is the only book that I’ve read by this author but it certainly won’t be the last.  I loved her writing style and look forward to the next book in this series.
