Please Give a Warm Welcome to Our New Reviewers!

A few months back, Holly and I decided that we needed more guest reviewers to help with our growing load of review books. We put the call out both on here and on Twitter and we read through email after email, trying to find the right fit for our group.

We settled on a few new reviewers and put them through some reviewing tests and we’ve been extremely happy with what they’ve submitted so far that we want to officially welcome them to the Book Binge team.

Please help us welcome the following new reviewers to Book Binge:

ERICA

Erica is a Library minion by day, glittery superhero by night. Erica loves happy endings, great characters who talk about their problems, and Diet Coke.

JEN

Jen devoured romances in high school and college, but then drifted away. The past couple years she’s rediscovered romance, and now it’s all she wants to read. She has an unnatural fondness for Harlequin Intrigues, for PBS, and for discovering new recipes she never has time to cook.

Natalia is your resident Book reading Machine. She will read mostly anything with a bookie pulse, meaning interesting. Her regret is that even by reading 1 or 2 a day, in her lifetime she won’t get to read more than 40,000 books. For now though, send them all her way!

Tina loves all kinds of books – romance, thrillers, drama, humor – she has pretty eclectic taste! She also enjoys writing reviews so she can share her “finds” with others who enjoy reading as much as she does.

WHITLEY

Whitley is a Jill-of-all trades and still haven’t decided what she want to be when she grows up. She’s been an avid reader since childhood, when she would sneak-read books under her desk during class. She reads and reviews mostly Young Adult books of all types and have an Expert Level in snark.

Holly and I are both extremely excited to work with each of you and we hope that you’ll enjoy reading and reviewing for Book Binge!

Welcome!

So, I’ve gone and done it.

I started up a YA book blog. The reason for this is simple, I’m an adult who has an unhealthy addiction to reading and I read a lot. I read mostly genre fiction of the romance and YA variety but my book blog, Book Binge is more of an adult fiction blog. Most of the readers over there are adults who don’t really give two craps about Young Adult fiction. They don’t love reading YA books the way that I do and well, I needed some place where I could squeal with joy over new YA books that are coming out and I needed a place where I could do my happy dance over YA books that I read and loved.

I also needed a blog that would be okay for my 12 year old niece Chaylene to read without getting in trouble. You see, Chaylene would ask me about my reviews on certain books that I reviewed over at Book Binge and I’d send her a link on Facebook to this review and she would click, click, click and end up on this review.

Needless to say, her Mom wasn’t too happy with her or with me so I started kicking around the idea of starting up my own YA blog so that I can read, review and discuss all things YA. I plan on having contests and giveaways to share my love of books with the people that stop by and I’ll have my friends stop by and blog with me as well so there should always be things going on over here (cross my fingers!)
