Nothing is going Lizzie’s way. Her sex life is unsatisfying, her job sucks and she has more debt than she needs thanks to her loser brother. Against her better judgment, she lets her best friend sign her up to be auctioned off at a high-rolling venue called the Club. Agreeing to a weekend of adventurous sex with a stranger is one thing, but being bought by the brothers who own the Club means Lizzie is up for a weekend beyond her wildest fantasies.

Ryan and Lizzie hit it off, in bed and out, but it’s his quiet brother, Trace, that has her heart pounding and her panties in a twist. But is Lizzie what Trace needs? Having been burned before, will he take a chance on what his heart is telling him or trust his instincts and send her home after their weekend is over?

Tracy’s review of Two For One (The Club #1) by Ann B. Harrison

Lizzie is frustrated with life. She’s been seeing her boyfriend regularly for a while but she can’t say she likes him that much. He’s rude and when they’re in bed he gets off but never gets her off. He then kicks her out of bed. Nice boyfriend. NOT! To top off her frustration her brother gets into debt and she has to end up paying for it. She’s about on her last penny when her friend talks her into getting auctioned off at the club she works at.

Lizzie’s not thrilled with the thought of being auctioned off for sex but the money she earns will go a long way and she REALLY wants to be satisfied in bed. She thinks there’s something wrong with her because she’s can’t seem to orgasm with a man – only with her own hand. She gets a makeover from top to bottom with some new clothes and she’s ready to go.

From the minute she walks into the club the owner, Trace, has his eye on Lizzie, but it’s his brother Ryan (a cage fighter) who starts bidding for her, making Trace none too happy. Trace comes up with a plan: they can share her for the weekend…and Lizzie agrees.

While Lizzie has a fantastic time with Ryan she feels starts to have feelings – an not just sexual ones – for Trace. She knows he’s out of her league so she’ll finish the weekend and then go back to her boring life without him.

This was a story about a woman coming into her own. Lizzie had believed everything her loser of a boyfriend had told her about herself. He was degrading and insulting and she believed it all. She had no self-confidence at all. When the men start bidding on her she’s shocked at how much money they’re talking about.

It makes me so sad when I read books about women who are in abusive relationships with losers. There are so many out there and in this story I’m happy to say that Lizzie got away from the jerk eventually. I was quite happy when Trace came to his senses and realized he needed Lizzie in his life.

The book isn’t that long and things happen quite quickly but it was both sexy and sweet at times. I wish that it had been longer as we could have gotten more in depth with both Trace and Ryan as there’s waaay more to their story than was in this book. In the end it was a good read and one I enjoyed. I’m looking forward to reading Ryan’s story.
