What Are You Reading on iPad 2 release day?

Casee: Today is a very exciting day. Not only have we moved our WAYR thread to Friday, but the iPad 2 is also being released. I don’t know which one excites me more. That’s a lie. I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL I’M STANDING IN LINE AT THE APPLE STORE!!!

Until then, I’ll try to contain my excitement and let you know what I’m currently reading. I decided to go old school and pick up Jayne Ann Krentz’s recent release, In Too Deep, at the library. Since it’s almost due back, I had to pick it up. Usually I scream through these books, but this one is just meh. I’m looking forward to starting another book. I have lots of good ones to choose from.

Holly: I’ve been trying to read Cowboy, Take Me Away by Kathleen Eagle, but the actions of the heroine halfway through really turned me off. I want to finish it, but I’m struggling. I think I’m going to set it aside in favorite of When You Dare by Lori Foster or Can’t Hurry Love by Christie Ridgway.

Rowena: I think I’m coming out of my reading slump because I got a good chunk of reading in the other night and all day, I’ve been thinking about going right back to my book so that I can finish it. Right at the moment, I’m finishing up Mad Love by Suzanne Selfors. It’s a pretty decent read about a young girl who’s the daughter to the Queen of Romance. Her Mom is a big deal romance novelist but isn’t around and when money starts running out for her Mom’s medical bills and the publishing house starts hounding them for a new novel…Alice has no choice but to write the romance novel for her Mom. It’s a big job for such a young girl but Alice has no choice and she’s doing the damn thing.

It’s really cute and from what I’ve read so far, I’d definitely recommend it though it’s a YA novel not a romance novel but I think lovers or romance would appreciate this one.

What are you reading this week?

  1. Way to go ladies! I’m not so excited about the ipad2, but then again I am not a technophile.

I finished How to Knit a Heart Back Home by Rachael Herron and absolutely loved it! I mean I skipped dinner and my evening workout and stayed up until 1am finishing this book. I was that engrossed in it and the book was just that good! I would definitely recommended reading it! Next up is 666 Park Avenue by Gabriella Pierce and Swept Off Her Feet by Hester Browne.

  3. I’m really not a technophile – very happy with my Nook 3G!! I’ve been reading (for the 2nd time) Iris Johansen’s Body of Lies and Blind Alley. Also, Nikki Duncan’s Wild..in Whispering Cove.

I am reading Robyn Carr’s Wild Man Creek – so far so good. Finished Promise Canyon this morning – I confess I skimmed through most of it.
