What Are You Reading? (151)

Rowena: I just finished reading a YA book called How Zoe Made Her Dreams (Mostly) Come True by Sarah Strohmeyer and it was a cute, summery read that I enjoyed.  Now, I’m in the middle of two different books.  I’m reading You Are Here by Jennifer E. Smith and On Dublin Street by Samantha Young.  So far, I’m enjoying the Young book more but Ames liked the Smith so I’m pretty stoked to finish that one out too.

Holly:I’m in a slump. I’ve been skimming books but I haven’t read anything in a week. It’s depressing.

What are you reading this week?

  1. I just started reading Dark Lady. It is historical, but “dark”. I am glad that it is a romance, so I know there will eventually be HEA! Holly, if you like historical, have you read How Miss Rutherford Got Her Groove Back? If you like contemporary, have you read Laura Florand’s chocolate books?

  2. What a coincidence, I was just going to say that I read the first in Floran’s chocolate series (novella in Kiss the Bride and simply loved it. Such fresh writing and exquisite love scenes. Going to take a little break before starting the official first book.

Listening to Richochet by Sandra Brown and oh, where oh where was Victor Slezak? This guy just sucks. Terrible women’s voices 🙁

  3. Just finished Katie Reus’ Mating Instinct–and feel terrible ’cause the author sent it to me and I had lots of problems with it.

Trying to get interested in two HQN SuperRomances I just got (I’m weak, budget, what budget?) but it’s no go.

Holly, I hope your slump is broken soon.

I just finished Love Irresistibly by Julie James, which was excellent, and am now reading Whiskey Beach by Nora Roberts.
