It’s a new month so we’re back with a list of our Monthly Reads to share with each of you. This is where you’ll see what each of us has read and what our favorite books and our least favorite books of the month are. Check it out.

February was an embarrassing month for me. I read four books. To make it even more pathetic one was a DNF & one was a reread.

Motorcycle Man (Dream Man #4) (reread) by Kristen Ashley | 4.75 out of 5
Rock Chick Renegade (Rock Chick #4) by Kristen Ashley | 4.5 out of 5
Lightning Game (GhostWalkers #17) by Christine Feehan | DNF
Still Standing (Wild West MC #1) by Kristen Ashley | 2.5 out of 5

Once again, I’ve read more Kristen Ashley books than anything else. I love Motorcycle Man, so that was a fun reread. Still Standing was interesting to say the least. My favorite book in February was Rock Chick Renegade. I just loved Jules and Vance.

Holly

I felt like I read a lot in February, but I only finish 16 books. 16 is a perfectly respectable number, but I swear it felt like I read at least 20. So weird.

The House on the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune | 4 out of 5
Dead in the Water (Gemini #1) by Hailey Edwards (audio) | 3.5 out of 5
Head Above Water (Gemini #2) by Hailey Edwards (audio) | 4 out of 5
Hell or High Water (Gemini #3) by Hailey Edwards (audio) | 3.75 out of 5
Fish out of Water (Gemini #4) by Hailey Edwards (audio) | 4 out of 5
The Return of Eden McCall by Judith Duncan (reread) | 4 out of 5
Chaos Reigning (Consortium Rebellion #3) by Jessie Mihalik | 4 out of 5
The Beast of Beswick (Everleigh Sisters #1) by Amalie Howard | 3.75 out of 5
A Study in Scarlet Women (Lady Sherlock #1) by Sherry Thomas | 4 out of 5
A Conspiracy in Belgravia (Lady Sherlock #2) by Sherry Thomas | 4.25 out of 5
The Hollow of Fear (Lady Sherlock #3) by Sherry Thomas | 4 out of 5
The Art of Theft (Lady Sherlock #4) by Sherry Thomas | 4 out of 5
Heart on a Leash (Hearts of Alaska #1) by Alanna Martin | 3.25 out of 5
Wildfire (Hidden Legacy #3) by Ilona Andrews (reread) (audio) | 4.5 out of 5
Emerald Blaze (Hidden Legacy #5) by Ilona Andrews | 3.75 out of 5
Wild Sign (Alpha and Omega #6) by Patricia Briggs | 4.25 out of 5

My favorite reads of the month were the Lady Sherlock series by Sherry Thomas. I believe book two was my favorite, but I enjoyed them all. My least favorite read was Heart on a Leash by Alanna Martin. I liked the romance, but the family feud in the book was really over-the-top.

Rowena

As far as my Goodreads Challenge is concerned, I’m on track to meet my reading goals for this year so I’m going to have to be okay with that. It was a busy month for me at work but also with my family so I’m surprised that I’m still on track to meet my goals. I’ll take it.

Here’s what I read this past month:

Wicked Fox (Gumiho #1) by Kat Cho | 4 out of 5
The Beast of Beswick (Everleigh Sisters #1) by Amalie Howard | 4 out of 5

I liked both books that I read this month but I think I liked Wicked Fox just a smidge more. I’m really interested in the Gumiho story so I really liked that one. I’m very interested in continuing that series whereas I have no interest in reading the next book in the Everleigh series by Amalie Howard.

I read a lot of really great books this month including The Rakehell of Roth, Steal My Magnolia, and most of the Rules for Scoundrels series an older Sarah MacLean series.

Chasing Cupid the first story in Cupid to the Rescue: A Tail-Wagging Valentine’s Anthology started the book off on the total wrong foot for me since the author couldn’t seem to decide if the title character dog was male or female. I ended up DNFing that story so that I could get on with the book.

I read a number of books that I quite enjoyed, some were new, others were rereads. The new ones were Finder and Driving the Deep by Suzanne Palmer; Velocity Weapon by Megan E. O’Keefe; and Fifty in Reverse by Bill Flanagan.

My least favorite book that I actually finished was Chuffed (Finnshifters Book 1) by Tia Fielding; it was a pleasant contemporary romance, but I’m not inclined to read on in the series.

  3. DiscoDollyDeb

I read 28 books in February. Eleven of those were the interconnected novellas of Mia West’s INTO THE FIRE, an m/m historical set just after the fall of Rome. INTO THE FIRE was my favorite read of the month, with Katie Golding’s FEARLESS a close second.

I didn’t read anything I hated in February, but Avril Ashton’s TEMPLE had such an interesting premise (a man falls for his late best friend’s boyfriend, and both heroes blame themselves for the circumstances that caused the friend’s death) that its blah execution made it even more of a disappointment.

  4. Kim

I didn’t do a lot of reading in January, but I did finish a non-fiction book about the news industry.

My favorite book of the month was the start of a new UF series, Dragons Don’t Eat Meat, by Kim McDougall, which was a fun romp with all kinds of magical creatures including an adorable baby dragon. In romance, my fav was Fierce At Heart by Zoe York, with a sweet, sunshiny hero who falls for his former commanding officer when both are starting over after leaving the military. Least favorite was a dragon shifter PNR novella, Hoarding His Halloween, by Dawn McGraw.
