I started Eloisa James’ newest book, How to Be a Wallflower, but it hasn’t held my interest.

I read 19 books in April. My favorite was Rachel Reid’s THE LONG GAME, an m/m hockey romance that gives Shane & Ilya from HEATED RIVALRY their HEA. Such a great book—it’s a candidate for my favorite book of 2022. I also really like Tal Bauer’s YOU AND ME, an m/m with older MCs (early forties) whose sons play on the same football team. I didn’t read anything g I hated but I caution readers not to expect a rom-com (although the cover certainly seems to promise one) if they read Beth O’Leary’s THE NO-SHOW.

  3. Kareni

Some of my April favorites were Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus, The Wizard’s Butler by Nathan Lowell, and defeats of books by Anne Cleeland and Nathan Lowell. Least favorite books were simply put aside.

  4. Glenda M

I had a good month. I loved Penny Reid’s Ten Trends to Seduce Your Best Friend, and binged several Kait Nolan books including the first book in her newest series (Bad Boy Bakers) and several related books including her Misfit Inn series. I enjoyed quite a few historicals including Eloisa James’ How to be a Wallflower and Erica Ridley’s Love Letters by the Sea the last of the Siren’s Retreat Quartet written with Grace Burrowes. Finally Grace Burrowes’ final Rogues to Riches book Never a Duke was excellent
