I’ve been on a rereading kick lately. I reread Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley & am now rereading Knight. I finished Darkness Dawns by Dianne Duvall and really enjoyed it. I’m currently reading Ruby Fever by Ilona Andrews. I’ve never been a huge Catalina fan, but she is more tolerable in this book than the previous books.

I finished listening to A Rendezvous with Yesterday by Dianne Duvall and finished reading Three Dog Knight by Annabel Chase. I then went on to listen to Lost Heart by Robin D. Owens, a Celta novella, which was just okay. The romance was rather rushed, but I did like the overall storyline. I re-read White Hot and Wildfire by Ilona Andrews. After that I re-read a bunch of Ilona Andrews and Nalini Singh short stories and freebies. I DNF’d A Laird for All Time by Angeline Fortin, a new-to-me author. It’s a time travel romance and neither the circumstances behind the time-travel nor the motivations of the characters made any sense. I also re-read Rock Addiction by Nalini Singh.

I am currently reading Ruby Fever by Ilona Andrews, Deadly Knight by Annabel Chase and I’m listening to The Wedding by Julie Garwood.

What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

I just finished Rachel Reid’s THE LONG GAME, the sixth & final book in her Game Changers series of m/m hockey romances. This book gives Shane & Ilya from HEATED RIVALRY their HEA. It’s a wonderful book—definitely my favorite book of 2022 so far—but I don’t think you can read it as a stand-alone: you have to read HEATED RIVALRY first, and I’d also recommend reading the fifth book, ROLE MODEL, because Ilya is a major supporting character and part of the timelines of the two books run parallel. Highly recommended.

    Over the past week ~
    — enjoyed The Firstborn: A Regency Romance by Quenby Olson, but I preferred her newer book. Unlike Miss Percy’s Pocket Guide (to the Care and Feeding of British Dragons) this book had no dragons.
    — reread with pleasure Blood Money: An Alice Worth Novella by Lisa Edmonds. This is a prequel to a series I enjoy.
    — enjoyed The Wizard’s Butler by Nathan Lowell; as you might surmise from the title, this was fantasy and specifically slice of life fantasy. It was a fun mellow read.
    — also reread with pleasure Half Share and Full Share both by Nathan Lowell. These were by the same author as the above but were slice of life space opera.
    — enjoyed rereading Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid which is a contemporary male/male romance featuring rival hockey players. I did this in anticipation of reading The Long Game.
    — enjoyed Dark Class (Class 5 Series) by Michelle Diener which is a new book in a favorite science fiction romance series. This series is best read in order.
Note: the first book in the series, Dark Horse, is currently FREE to US Kindle readers.
    — enjoyed the male/male fantasy The Necromancer’s Light (Radiance Book 1) by Tavia Lark.

I read a lot this week. Nothing horrible. Some of the highlights are: Kait Nolan’s Misfit Inn series (I do want to read her Men of Misfit Inn series as well, but that’s in the future); I also read her Mixed Up With a Marie and Second Chance Summer both books are tied in to the Misfit Inn series. There were 2 new releases I read this week and loved as well: Grace Burrowes’ latest Never A Duke and Caroline Linden’s All the Duke I Need. I need Caroline Linden’s final epilogue now since All the Duke I Need ended well, but with questions of what happens next
