I’m reading Rewriting the Stars (Bailey Brothers #6) by Claire Kingsley. It’s the final book in the series and I am absolutely loving it. Forbidden romance can really work if written correctly. Claire Kingsley has definitely nailed the writing. I can’t decide if I’m going to reread Motorcycle Man (Dream Man #4) by Kristen Ashley or read Lover Unveiled by J.R. Ward next.

I’m going to start The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth for bookclub. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one.

My reading is still going very slow. I finally finished listening to Night Reigns by Dianne Duvall on audio. I re-read Moon Craving by Lucy Monroe for my book club.

I’m currently reading Fated by K.M. Shea and listening to Miss Moriarty, I Presume? by Sherry Thomas.

What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

I’m reading two books at polar-opposite ends of the romance spectrum. I just started Serena Bell’s HEAD OVER HEELS, a single-dad/nanny romance with the friends-to-lovers trope thrown in for good measure. This is the second of Bell’s Under One Roof series, lightly revised since the original publication date of 2018. I’m also reading Aleksandr Voinov’s m/m mafia romance, BURN THIS CITY, which is not for the faint of heart as it includes all manner of violence and torture. It’s an enemies-to-lovers story about two “made” men from two rival mob families, one of whom holds the other one captive, planning to torture information out of him. Certainly not for all tastes, but I’m enjoying Voinov’s leisurely-paced and carefully-plotted story.

    Over the past week ~

    — Gone Girl: A Novel by Gillian Flynn for my local book group. This is definitely a book with many a surprise.
    — Yesterday Is History by Kosoko Jackson; I quite enjoyed this young adult novel. I confess that I have a weakness for books featuring time travel.
    — a duo of books by a favorite author and quite enjoyed them though they are in a different genre (fantasy) than her other works that I’ve read…Medair: The Complete Medair Duology in One Volume by Andrea K Höst.
    — a new experience, I read a LitRPG book, The Land of the Undying Lord (The Infinite World Book 1) by J.T. Wright. LitRPG is short for literary role playing game; the book brought back memories of playing Dungeons and Dragons in high school. I enjoyed the book but don’t expect to continue with the series.
    — enjoyed reading the serial story, Deltan Escape by Janet Edwards, which is a prequel to the Earth Girl series I recently read. The story is available for free on the author’s website. I also read all the other free stories.
