I am still reading the Wrecked series by Catherine Cowles. I am about to start Reckless Refuge (Wrecked #4). I might also read Annihilation Road (Torpedo Ink #6) by Christine Feehan instead. A change of pace might be just the thing I need.

I’m listening to The Secret by Julie Garwood on audio. I have to say that the narrator has made the book even better. She’s amazing.

I have had zero reading time lately. I listened to Getting Real by Emma Chase, which was fabulous. It’s an Audible first release and the narrators were great. If you prefer to read, I recommend preordering it. I read Red by J.E. Taylor, a Little Red Riding Hood retelling. It wasn’t very good. I don’t think I’ll read any others in the series. I really enjoyed Boyfriend by Sarina Bowen. It was a sweet, light contemporary romance.

I’m currently listening to Hot Asset by Lauren Layne, a re-read. I’m not sure what I’m going to pick up next.

What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

I just finished a duet of m/m romances by S.E. Harmon: STAY WITH ME and SO INTO YOU. They’re about two men who run a private investigation firm together. Each has their own romance/book. The tone of the books was snarky but emotional. Highly recommended.

I’m now about a third of the way through OF SUNLIGHT AND STARDUST, co-written by Riley Hart and Christina Lee. It’s a dual-timeline (1948 and today) story about two m/m couples and how they’re connected to an old farmhouse and barn in the upper peninsula of Michigan. It’s beautifully-written, but I can tell it’s going to tear my heart out before it’s finished.

I’m reading 2 anthologies: Holiday Fake Out and Upon a Midnight Dreary. I’m also reading Amalie Howard’s latest Rules for Heiresses. As usual the anthologies have ups & downs but I am absolutely loving Rules.

    Over the past week ~

    — read An Accidental Death: A DC Smith Investigation Series, Book 1 by Peter Grainger and quite enjoyed it. Sadly, neither of my libraries has the follow on books.
    — the contemporary romance Off the Leash (White House Protection Force Book 1) by M. L. Buchman; this was an enjoyable read that featured a chocolatier hero (who knits) and a dog handler who is part of the Secret Service. Be prepared to want chocolate if you read this!
    — The Other Me by Sarah Zachrich Jeng which I enjoyed; this was an intriguing science fiction read that left me pondering what ifs in my own life.
