What Are You Reading? (525)

Casee: I’ve been reading quite a bit this last week. I’ve been on a Christine Feehan binge, which confuses, but I’ll take what I can get. I finished The Sinner by J.R. Ward, then went back and reread a couple of Feehan’s. I’m now reading Sin & Chocolate by K.F. Breene and am really enjoying it.

I listened to another A.L. Jackson book this week. I’m now listening to Say You’ll Stay by Corinne Michaels. She is a new-to-me author and I have to say that I was immediately hooked.

Holly: I’m reading again! Hooray! Not quickly, but I’ll take what I can get right now. I reread Ride Steady by Kristen Ashley and The Year We Hid Away by Sarina Bowen. Currently I’m listening to Always Be My Banshee by Molly Harper. I’m not loving the narrator, so I may put this aside until it’s released in ebook. I’m reading Sin and Spirit by K.F. Breene.

Rowena: Another week of not reading any books for me. I read a few paragraphs from Magic Steals and I’m going to try to finish that book over the weekend but for the most part, I’m reading the subtitles for the following Korean drama’s She was Pretty and My Country: The New Age. She was Pretty was super cute and My Country is a lot different, more intrigue and Game of Thrones-ish but still good. I need to line up my next show because I’m almost done with these. Wish me luck!

What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

I’m reading Keri Lake’s MASTER OF SALT & BONES, which is a well-written, creepy gothic-horror story but should definitely come with ALL the content/trigger warnings and, imho, cannot be classified as a romance.

I just started Crush the King by Jennifer Estep and am really looking forward to the conclusion of this trilogy. After that I’m planning to read Chasing Cassandra by Lisa Kleypas.

    • Ooh, I’d love to hear your thoughts on Crush the King. Holly and I have plans to read that book together soon. I’d also love to hear your thoughts on Chasing Cassandra. I thought that was a lovely romance. Happy reading!

    Recent reads ~

    — Taji From Beyond the Rings by R. Cooper, a science fiction romance which I enjoyed.
    — Reread the four Murderbot novellas: All Systems Red, Artificial Condition, Rogue Protocol, and Exit Strategy. I enjoyed them all.
    — And an enjoyable romance novella, Dei Ex Machina by Kim Fielding. This was a male/male romance with a paranormal element.
