Tracy’s review of Nice Girls Don’t Ride by Roni Loren.

Natalie is having a crappy 21st birthday and it only goes downhill after her car breaks down. Luckily she’s saved by a good Samaritan tow truck driver, Monroe, who happens along. He takes her back to the auto shop to try to fix her car while she tries to get in touch with her boyfriend so he can pick her up.

When she finally get in touch with Caleb he lets her know that he’s working and won’t be able to get away but she soon finds out that’s all a lie. Not only is he free but he’s using the reservation he had for HER birthday to take another girl out. Natalie figures this out soon after and goes to confront him with a little help from Monroe – who had offered to drive her home.

Natalie gives her bastard boyfriend the what-for but then just wants to wallow in her pity. Monroe makes her see that Caleb isn’t worth crying about and he proposes another idea – stay up all night and have the kind of fun she couldn’t have with her uptight ex. Natalie decides to take Monroe up on his offer and it’s soon obvious that it’s going to be the best night of either of their lives.

This was such a cute novella. I loved almost every minute of reading it – even if parts were a little unlikely. I thought that Monroe and Natalie were just so adorable together and so perfectly matched.

The blurb makes you think that Monroe is all bad boy biker but he’s got more to him than meets the eye and a soft spot in his heart for family. He really was wonderful and pretty perfect – despite that love of eighties metal. lol

What Natalie went through on her birthday really sucked but she was smart enough to realize that Caleb was a jerk. There wasn’t any hoping they’d get back together, etc. and I admired Natalie’s intelligence in that matter.

I was happy that things turned out for both Natalie and Monroe in the end. I smiled a lot throughout the book but the last part gave me an “awww” moment and had me grinning from ear to ear. Yes, yes, I am a sap. 🙂
