Stephanie Laurens has a new series coming out at the end of this month and I am pretty excited to dig right into it. It’s about a group of war veterans with a mix of older characters thrown into it all to keep things interesting.

Check out the blurb for the first book in the Black Cobra series:

They’re battle-hardened, sinfully wealthy, completely unstoppable—and all male: Four officers of the Crown, fighting against a deadly foe known only as the Black Cobra.

He is a man who has faced peril without flinching, determined to fight for king and country.

She is a bold, beautiful woman with a scandalous past, destined to become an untamed bride.

Together they must vanquish the ruthless enemy, while confronting the dangers of the heart . .

Very mysterious, don’t you think? I will be cracking this book open very soon and am anxious to do so! Our wonderful friends over at Avon have provided two ARC’s of The Untamed Bride and we’re going to gift these two copies to two lucky winners. All you have to do is reply to this post and let us know why you want to read this book and two random winners will win their very own ARC of this book.

ETA: Get your entries in soon because this contest ends Wednesday, 10/14/09 at 11:59pm.

To get an inside look at The Untamed Bride, check out the excerpt they have up at the Avon website. You can read it here. You have one week from today to enter the giveaway. The contest will end on Friday, 10/16/09 at 11:59pm. A winner will be announced shortly afterward.

  1. Since I love Stephanie Laurens and emotionally/physically scarred heroes this book is definitely one I want. And since it looks like the start to a new series I definitely want to get in on it from the start.

I find tortured, scarred heros very interesting to read and war veterans make among the best there are. I am loving Elizabeth Hoyt’s Soldier series. this seems to be a very promising one too.

  3. I have always loved Stephanie Laurens’ books. With this being the first in a new series, that’s a win-win! Thanks for the great contest 🙂

  4. I was just told by a writer I admire that I was missing out because I had never read Ms. Laurens. So I think this is a sign!

I also really like the soldier/veteran stories, and I would love to start off right at the beginning of a series.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. i haven’t read stephanie laurens in a while and i’m very curious about the new series, so i’d love to win an ARC. please include in your giveaway!

  6. I love Stephanie’s writing, she gives us strong heroes and matches them up with equally strong women in a great suspense storyline. I’ve read both the Cynster and Bastion Club series, and have the collection as part of my favorites shelf.
Stephanie is one of my favorite historical romance authors and I can’t wait to start this new series.

  7. The Bastion Club series was my favorite of Stephanie Laurens. I have them on my keeper shelf. Though I was sad to see it end, I’m thrilled that SL is starting the Black Cobra series with visits from her characters from Bastion Club and Cynster. I am so looking forward to THE UNTAMED BRIDE.

Thank you for your awesome giveaways.

  8. Stephanie Laurens is an autobuy. I have all her bpoks and have read them all more than a couple of times. All time favs Devil, Gabriel, Richard, and Martin (the Earl of Dexter, even though he wasn’t a Cynster, he just married one).

  9. Well, I can say that I’ve read Stephanie Laurens. But the blurb sounds interesting. I’d like to try one of hers! Pls count me in!

  19. The tortured hero’s are always fun to read and one of my all time favorite kinda books to read. This book sounds wonderful.

  20. Does one really need a “reason” to want Stephanie Lauren’s newest book? Really??!!
Ummm well I think a good reason I want this book (and all other’s by her) is because she writes awesome alpha males and fun, quirky, sexy heroines. ‘Nough said. 😉
