Casee’s review of Oceans of Fire (Drake Sister Series, Book 3) by Christine Feehan.

The third daughter of seven in a magical bloodline, Abigail Drake was born with an affinity for water and a strong bond with dolphins. After she witnesses a murder, she flees right into the arms of Alexsandr Volstov. On the trail of stolen Russian antiquities, he’s a relentless Interpol agent—and the man who once broke Abby’s heart. But he isn’t going to let the only woman he’s ever loved slip away again.

Abigail Drake. The third sister who can communicate w/ dolphins and can get anyone to tell the truth just by saying the word “truth”.

While out in the ocean, swimming with her dolphin friends, Abigail inadvertently witnesses a murder. What’s worse is that the murderers saw her. When she finally makes it to shore (after help from the dolphins), she finds none other than Alexsandr Volstov. The man who broke her heart, though she’s never forgotten him.

Alexsandr always intended to get Abbey back. He certainly didn’t think it would take four years to do it, but now that he has her in his sights, he’s not letting her go. The only problem he’s run into is that Abbey doesn’t want him back. She may admit that she will always love him, but that doesn’t mean that she’ll take another chance on him.

Abbey has never even told her sisters about Alexsander and what happened in Russia four years before. Her shame has been too great and she was careful to keep her feelings buried deep, where her sisters couldn’t sense them. Now that Alexsander is back, her control is slipping. And even though she’s sure she won’t take another chance on him, Alexsander won’t go away. He’s determined to protect her from the men he knows will come after her.

This was another one that I didn’t expect to like as much this time around. I did like it, though. Alexsander was perfect for Abbey. And I loved Abbey, too. I think everytime I read one of these books, that sister becomes my favorite. While I was reading this, Abbey was my favorite.

4.25 out of 5.
