Publisher: Avon, Harper Collins

This book comes out on June 30, 2009.

When Olivia Bevelstoke is told that her new neighbor may have killed his fiancée, she doesn’t believe it for a second, but still, how can she help spying on him, just to be sure? So she stakes out a spot near her bedroom window, cleverly concealed by curtains, watches, and waits… and discovers a most intriguing man, who is definitely up to something.

Sir Harry Valentine works for the boring branch of the War Office, translating documents vital to national security. He’s not a spy, but he’s had all the training, and when a gorgeous blonde begins to watch him from her window, he is instantly suspicious. But just when he decides that she’s nothing more than a nosy debutante, he discovers that she might be engaged to a foreign prince, who might be plotting against England. And when Harry is roped into spying on Olivia, he discovers that he might be falling for her himself…

Has anyone read that Miranda Cheever book by Julia Quinn? Well apparently this is the sequel to that book and the little blurb looks pretty inviting and cute so I will be reading and reviewing this book on Book Binge because I’m curious.

Will anyone be reading this book as well?

This book is available from Avon. You can pre-order it here.

I have read The Secret Diaries of Miranda Cheever and I quite enjoyed it so I’m really looking forward to Olivia’s story!

  2. I read it 2 years ago when it came out. It was a nice read. Not as good as the first Bridgerton novels but still enjoyable… (3.5 or 3.75 for me). I’m glad JQ decided to write a sequel, definitly watching this book.

  3. I actually just finished Miranda not very long ago and enjoyed it. I don’t know if it was a RAVE, but it was exactly what I expected, LOL, which in my book is a good thing.

  4. I loved Miranda! It is right at the top of my fav Quinn novels, and much better than the Two Dukes series that came out over the last couple of years. I will be at the store on release day to pick mine up!

I plan on picking this one up despite the fact that I haven’t read the Miranda Cheevers book yet. 😮

I read TSDoMMC when it first came out and really liked it. I just re-read it because Olivia, the heroine in LONDON, has quite a few scenes in it.

  7. I’ll be getting What Happens in London as soon as I find it 😉 . I enjoyed The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheevers a lot and thought Olivia’s character was wonderful. I can’t wait to read her book.
