I have a lot of auto buy authors, authors that I broke my romance reading teeth on. Authors that I will buy no matter how many books they write and no matter how many books disappoint me. Rachel Gibson is one of these authors for me. I will follow Rachel Gibson into the dark pits of whatever dark place she goes as long as it means I get to read her stories.
That’s how much I love this woman so when I found out that she’s got another book coming out this year, I did what any other romance readers fan of Rachel Gibson would do: I did a happy dance.
Here’s the synopsis:
Disaster Number One: Men
Hard knocks and hunger taught Faith Duffy not to believe in love. Still, when she married her very wealthy—and very old—husband, she became the perfect wife. I heard about this last week and preordered at my B&N. I like the premise, reminds me of SEPs “It Had To Be You”. I do have to say that I didn’t like the last few books. The last one I liked was the one with Sebastian Vaughn and the author chic…name escapes me.
I am hoping this book will live up to my (admittedly)high expectations.
OMG yes, she is one of my favorites (and easily my most re-read author!) This one sounds like a hoot. It has been on preorder for months now, just as soon as it was posted on Amazon!!

I’m the same way!! There are some RG books that have been SUCH duds for me – but the ones that aren’t – the ones that work – are so damn good I too follow her no matter what.
Oh I luv her even after Daisy and her stupidity. She’s one of those few authors I will buy new no matter what.
This is one of the books I want most in 2009.
