Book Meme: My Letter is "B".

Posted October 9, 2008 by Rowena in Reviews | 10 Comments

While blog hopping last week, I came across Christine’s blog, where she was participating in a meme from Stacy’s blog.

It looked really fun so I wanted to join in as well. Here are the rules of the game:

1. Comment on this blog and ask for a letter.
2. I will give you one.
3. Think of 5 fictional characters whose name begins with that letter, and post their names and your comments on that character on your blog.

Christine gave me the letter, “B”. I’m going to follow her lead and name 5 heroes with a name starting with B. Wish me luck!

1. Ben Lewis from Heart of Fire by Linda Howard. Can’t do a list of B heroes without naming Ben Lewis. He’s the only man that can bring out the mean girl behavior between me and Holly so bad that he was banned from being claimed ANYWHERE. If I can’ t have him then Holly can’t and vice versa. And nobody can pull a slap slap scene the way this man can…=P

2. Benedict Bridgerton from An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn. The second child of the Bridgerton clan, I think I was the only person in my circle of friends that absolutely adored Benedict. He’s my favorite Bridgerton, LOVE me some Benedict. I wanted to dance with him at a Masquerade.

3. Brodick Buchanan from Ransom by Julie Garwood. This stubborn obstinate Scotsman captured my heart in his book and would have gotten a lot of apples thrown upside his head if we were ever to live together because he drove me mad at the same time that he was making me sigh. He was one of those hardheaded, possessive heroes that you can’t help but love because he was willing to leave his beloved Scotland to live in the most hated England if it would make his wife happy and someone who is willing to make that big a sacrifice deserves to be on this list. LOVE BRODICK!

4. Brandon Vaughn from Hot Stuff by Carly Phillips. I love athletes. I absolutely love them and this guy is an ex-football legend that I loved more than I loved his book. He was hot, sexy and dreamy rolled into one steamy hot package.

5. Braden MacAllister from Claiming the Highlander by Kinley MacGregor. I love hottie heroes because I’m just shallow enough to not care. I loved Braden and his family and I thought he was the perfect match for Maggie. He was the youngest MacAllister but he was still hottie McHot Stuff and I heart him!

Alright, so it wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be so THANKS Christine and if you want to play this game on your own blog, leave a comment and I’ll give you a letter to play with.

Good times, enjoy!

  1. Lurve Brodick. For all the reasons you mentioned and more.

I srsly have to re-read Heart of Fire. I don’t remember Ben Lewis all that well. *ducking*

  2. Wow!! Great job, Rowena!! You even double dipped the B’s with Benedict Bridgerton and Brodick Buchanan! Say that 10 times fast! LOL

    Thanks for playing! =)

  3. Casee,
You just might get kicked off the blog for that. How can you not remember Ben Lewis? *shakes head* I’m so disappointed in you. Although…that just leaves more for me and Rowena to love. heh

    Jill,
    I can help with some:

Ben Lewis – Heart of Fire by Linda Howard (Loooove him)

Benedict Bridgerton – An Offer From A Gentleman by Julia Quinn ( my least favorite book in that series. heee)

Brodick Buchanan – Ransom by Julie Garwood (he first appears in The Secret and gets his own story in Ransom. Personally? Didn’t care for him..love you Rowena)

Brandon Vaughn – sounds familiar, but I have no idea

Braden MacAllister – Claiming the Highlander by Kinley MacGregor

  4. Rowena

    Dev,

I read Benedict’s story first before the others so I had a soft spot for him since he was the one that turned me onto the rest of the series. LOVE HIM! So you can have Colin, I’ll keep Benedict all to myself.

    Wowsauce,

Hey Welcome to Book Binge! Your letter is D. Good luck sweets!

    Casee,

Exactly what Holly said…how dare you not remember who Ben Lewis is, LOL. I challenge you to reread HoF this weekend and love him right along with me and Holly but if you don’t, that’s fine too. More for me and Holly. 😉

    Christine,

Awww thanks, It was a lot easier than I thought. At first when I saw the letter you gave me, I was like, “Well shucks! Do I know any B heroes” but when I started up the post they all came to me, I didn’t even have to cheat. LOL.

Thanks for playing and then letting me play! =)

    Jessica,

Hey you, alright, your letter is C. Good luck and I can’t wait to see your answers! =)

    Jill S.,

Sorry I always assume that everyone knows who I’m talking about but Holly has them all down and I’ve edited the post to show where the hereos are from. Let me know if you want to play and I’ll give you a letter!

    Holly,

Thanks for getting my back. Ummm, your letter is M. So, have fun with that one! =)
