Publisher: Avon, Harper Collins

…by Stephanie Laurens, Mary Balogh, Jacquie D’Alessandro and Candace Hern.

This book looks like it’d be a good one. I haven’t read anything by Mary Balogh (although I may be lying because I think I’ve read the Mistress one, I just can’t remember anything from that book) and Candace Hern but I was reading through the Avon Books site and this is one of the books that I caught my eye, will anyone else be checking this book out?

It Happened One Night . . . and nothing was ever the same again!

Once upon a time, four superstar storytellers—New York Times bestselling authors Stephanie Laurens and Mary Balogh, along with Jacquie D’Alessandro and Candice Hern—came up with a delicious idea. What if they each wrote a story about a proper young lady stranded at a remote inn away from society’s constraints? What would happen? And how long would it take for her to give in to desire?

In these four amazing tales, four heroines will come face-to-face with the men who got away . . . only to discover that, instead of anger, there is still a passionate connection that cannot be denied. And while each of their lives is quite different, and their pasts utterly unique, they will all make a common discovery—that one night can change everything . . . forever.

This book comes out next month so that’s something to look forward too, woo hoo!

This book is available from Avon. You can buy it here.

  1. No info over on Amazon, but there’s a good chance that these are the same stories that Laurens and Balogh have published in previous anthologies. The theme sounds familiar and I’ve learned with both Laurens and Balogh to read the first few pages of the story because they’ve got some that are re-released in new anthologies with new blurbs year after year after year.

FYI–I tried to pre-order it through your referral code and it told me they didn’t have that book in the catalog…try the search box. Is it just me or is that kind of dodgy?

    Dev,

It does look like a good one so I’ll be looking forward to reading this one.

    Bev,

I’ve never read any anthologies by either author so I’m good to go.

    I heart book gossip,

Hey, we’ll have a winner announced no later than this Wed, we decided to keep it open a bit longer but you’ll find out soon enough. =)

    Amy,

It worked for me too, I hope it gets straightened out for you because that book looks like it’s a definite buy!

    Heather,

    Hi Ladies:
I’m so glad you’re looking forward to the anthology! Just to clear up any confusion–these are four brand new, previously unpublished stories. There’s a letter to the reader in the beginning of the book that explains how the anthology came about–in a nutshell we all took the same story premise and wrote the same book! Or did we? The premise was this: A couple who knew each other in the past but haven’t seen each other for ten years meet up at an inn for a twenty-four hour period. An interesting experiment–did we all write the same story or not? I hope you enjoy finding out the answer.
    Best regards and happy reading,
    Jacquie D’Alessandro
