Warning: Spoilers Included

I was thrilled when Holly, Rowena, and Isabel asked me to join Book Binge. Though I am relatively new to blogging, I’ve really enjoyed reviewing on my book blog. Not only is it a way to get my opinion out there, it was also a way to connect with fellow readers.

For those of you not familiar w/ my reviews, I give you fair warning…I’m a spoiler you-know-what. I don’t read spoilers before I read a book, but I post spoilers in my reviews. Lots of spoilers. I’ve found that I’m unable to review a book if I leave spoilers out. Believe me, I’ve tried. What I came up with might have well been copied straight from Amazon. Pretty pathetic, actually. So what I’m telling you is that if you have yet to read a book I’m reviewing and you don’t like spoilers, please don’t read it until you’re finished with the book. My reviews are rated out of 5 stars. Basically if it’s under 3 stars, it’s not really worth your time. I rarely leave a book unfinished b/c I’m anal like that.

I’ve been a romance reader for years and years. My first romance novel was Message from Nam by Danielle Steel. It wasn’t until years later that I had any idea how morbidly sad her books are. Really, how many awful, horrific, life-changing things can happen to one person over the course of a book? In Danielle Steel’s book, at least 3. At least. I’ve evolved as a reader since Message from Nam. My reading taste now varies, depending on my mood. I haven’t read a historical in months. My guilty pleasure is reading Harlequin’s. I’m a huge Nalini Singh fangirl. I love Gennita Low. I think I’ve read almost every Nora Roberts book written. One of my favorite books of this year was Games of Command by Linnea Sinclair. It’s a sci-fi romance that I was super impressed with.

Assuming I have some reading time tonight, I hope to finish Hunting the Demon by Jaci Burton so I can review it within the next few days!

  1. Casee – like you I don’t like to know spoilers of books I know I’m already going to buy but if it’s a new to me author and there is some sort of buzz I need to know how it ends. No HEA, no Cindy 😉

Thanks for letting us know you put spoilers in – I have also done that because there are times you just can’t tell someone how much a book sucked without getting into the nitty gritty!

If a review is on a book I know I’m going to read then I normally skim it and catch the grade. Once I have read the book I’ll come back and read to see what others thought.

    Hey Casee girl,

I, for one, absolutely love your reviews the way they are..spoilers and all…hanging out with Izzy and you tend to forget that you don’t want to know the spoilers but I find that I don’t mind spoilers quite so much as I used too…haha. But I think it’s hilarious that you hate spoilers! heheh…you’ll fit right in with us here at Book Binge sweetie..I’m glad you joined our blog sweets!

  3. hey Casee 😀

I love your review and I don’t mind the spoilers… in any case, if I want to avoid them, I just go at the end, your last paragraph 😀 can’t wait for your reviews! One question though, what are you going to do with your blog? is it going to turn into a more personal blog?

LOL – I learned the hard way, huh? Guess this post came about a week too late for me *g*.

I don’t mind spoilers, but it helps if I know they’re coming. That was a doozie the other day. 🙂
