DFRAT2013Top Picks for Summer from some of our Editorial Directors for the Digital-First Read-a-Thon

It’s no secret. We live, breathe and fall in love over and over again with romance at Entangled Publishing. Some of our editorial directors have top picks for this summer. Each of their lines are unique and ones you’ll love. We promise you that. Read on to find out more about some of our amazing lines.
epStacy Abrams, Editorial Director for Bliss, Teen and Digiteen

For Bliss:

July: Taste the Heat by Rachel Harris: Food, a sexy fireman, and New Orleans! This sweet summer romance between a chef and her brother’s best friend is as hot and spicy as its hero.

August: Fake Fiance, Real Revenge by Roxanne Snopek: Cowboy Mitchell Granger is back in his hometown, pretending to still be engaged to his high school sweetheart. But what happens when the deception turns real?

For Teen:

July: Blurred by Tara Fuller: Grim reapers never looked so good. And what happens when one falls for a boy who’s still very much alive?

August: Out of Play by Nyrae Dawn and Jolene Perry: Bad-boy rocker meets tough-as-nails hockey chick in Seldon, Alaska. It might be snowy outside but their romance heats up the pages.

For digiTeen:

August: Bent by Christine O’Neil: Maggie just discovered she’s a 16-year-old succubus after her first kiss resulted in a sleeping boy who won’t wake up. And when a new guy comes to town full of secrets, it just might be the death of her…

August: Darker Days by Jus Accardo: Teen P.I. uncovers her client is one of the seven deadly sins. Can they recapture the others in time without getting distracted by falling in love?

epAlethea Spiridon, Editorial Director for  Indulgence

July: The Wedding Gamble by Cindi Myers because it’s a romance caper that pits two people in insane circumstances in the Vegas. It’s a wild, fun ride and the characters are lively and well crafted.

August: The Best Man’s Baby by Victoria James because it’s a funny, emotional story about two completely opposite people who find themselves in an awkward position of having to rearrange their lives for the baby that happened as a result of a one night stand at a wedding. The scene where she tells the hero he is going to be a daddy is hilarious.

Shannon Godwin, Editorial Director for Select

For Select, I would suggest picking up Heavy Metal by Natalie J Damschroder this August. This is the second book in a series about modern-day Goddesses with special powers and the men who protect them. The read is fun and fast-paced, the sex is steamy, and the heroine is feisty and resourceful.  And the hero? Wowza. Rough around the edges but in all the right ways.  A perfect beach or pool read!

epCandace Havens, Editorial Director for Covet

July: I highly recommend that you pick up Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout and Lions, Tigers and Sexy Bears, Oh My by Candace Havens.

August: The Demon’s Desire by Kendra Leigh Castle and Don’t Bite the Bridesmaid by Tiffany Allee

I chose these books because they take paranormal to a whole new level. It’s not just about paranormal romance. It’s about the relationships within. We just happened to add the love of an alien, vamp and demon into play. But they have feelings too right? Paranormal never looked so good!

epKaren Grove, Editorial Director for Embrace, Entangled’s New Adult line

And once your summer reading is complete…get ready for Entangled Publishing’s Embrace, a hot new digital-first line dedicated to New Adult fiction. Filling the gap between YA and Adult novels, Embrace will feature vibrant young voices between the ages of 18 and 24 in a wide variety of genres: contemporary, romance, fantasy, science fiction, mystery, suspense, paranormal.

The Embrace list will launch in September with four exciting stories—gritty contemporary, contemporary romance, paranormal, and suspense—that feature MCs exploring what it means to be an adult in whatever world or circumstances they find themselves. Future lists will include the conflicts and discoveries of dating, college, jobs, first apartments, self-sufficiency, identity, responsibility, expectations, integrity, etc.—all those things that make this period of early adulthood ripe with conflict.

Watch for Embrace this fall…the possibilities are endless!

Summer Binge Contest

Posted June 30, 2007 by Holly in Giveaways | 28 Comments

There’s nothing I love better than summer. Even living in Southern Cali where temps can soar into the mid 100’s, I still love it. I love the sunshine, the trips to the beach, the BBQ’s, the fireworks, moonlit walks on hot summer nights and reading. Is there anything better than laying by the pool with a cool drink and a hot book?

To help kick off summer, and to celebrate Independence Day, we here at Book Binge want to help you overload on good books. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite books by our favorite authors along with some new summer releases. We love nothing more than sharing our favorite books with our friends, and that’s exactly what we’re doing now.

We’ve each complied a list of our five favorite reads and we’re offering one lucky winner 2 books of their choice from each of our lists. That’s a total of 6 new summer reads.

But that’s not all!

We’re also offering two new releases of your choice. And the kicker? It can be any two new releases for the entire summer! Dying for the new Harry Potter book, but not too excited about spending the money for it? Well, we’ll take care of it. Want to try the new Linda Howard, but don’t want to pay the hardback price for it? We’ve got you covered. As long as the release date is between the months of June and August, it’s yours from us.

Holly’s List

  • Paradise by Judith McNaught
  • Virgin River by Robyn Carr
  • Demon Moon by Meljean Brook
