Seattle attorney Miranda Rose arrives in Las Vegas determined to keep her best friend-with-benefits from making a costly mistake – marrying some stranger just to save his family trust. But once there, Miranda discovers she’s the surprise bride! One red-hot honeymoon later, they’re back to their over-scheduled lives on opposite coasts. But a marriage of convenience with regularly scheduled sexytimes turns complicated when Miranda gets the shock of a lifetime: she's pregnant...with twins.

Miranda has always wanted a family of her own, but her infertility made it impossible. Besides, Callum’s difficult upbringing places him adamantly in the no-kid zone. Now she must decide between the man she’s been in love with for years and the children she’s longed for. Or will Callum surprise her yet again and come through when it matters most?

Miranda has been in love with her friend with benefits, Callum, since they were in law school together.  She’s never told him and never plans to.  When Callum calls her up and tells her he’s getting married in Vegas Miranda is crushed but grudgingly agrees to attend the wedding.  Little did she know that she was the intended bride.  She’s pissed but as it’s to keep his cousin from taking over the company and selling it off she finally agrees.

Mira and Callum agree that their lives won’t change.  She’ll continue being a lawyer in Seattle and he’ll continue running his 20 companies from New York – they’ll see each other once a month.  That’s a great plan until Mira gets her annual checkup by her OB/GYN and discovers she’s 3 months pregnant! With her endometriosis she thought she couldn’t get pregnant and she’d been religious about taking the pill.    She’s not sure how to tell Callum as he never wants children. To say he takes it badly is a huge understatement.  He’s determined to get her to live in New York and she’s determined to raise the kids in Seattle by herself.  She’d rather be on her own with twins than for them to grow up thinking they’re unwanted.  Their differences may never be worked out!

I really liked the characters and their predicament.  IMHO Miranda was right on the money by saying she wanted to have the kids on her own without Callum.  He didn’t want kids, didn’t know anything about them, and wasn’t interested in learning.  If it was me I’d tell him I didn’t need him either.  Luckily for Mira Callum finally came to his senses but it took a lot of arguing to get there.  That was a bit heart-wrenching for Mira but it was written well.

Callum was hard-headed and determined to get his way.  I was happy that he finally realized what he needed to do and got it done.  The unfolding of the story and his realizations were engaging and I really enjoyed reading about it all.

It was a fast read and it just took a couple of hours out of my afternoon. Overall I found this to be a really cute story that put a smile on my face.
