***A New Adult Romance***
Twenty-year-old Savannah enjoys a one-time one-night stand because a real relationship would never fit into her busy schedule. Working two jobs and pursuing her degree takes all of her time. Besides, the guys she has dated haven't been much better than the random barfly.
It's a good thing Luke's body is honed by the long hours of carpentry and construction because he carries the weight of his family on his shoulders. School hasn't been an option for him since he dropped out to make the house payments his mother had failed to make.
Luke finds what he's been longing for in a night with Savannah. She's determined to stop with a one-night stand, but he wants more. Neither can deny the perfection of their passionate interludes, but with such imperfect lives, do they have any chance for a future together? Suddenly they're falling in love much too fast and the intensity could tear them apart.
***This book is intended for mature audiences due to strong language and sexual content.***

Luke has to take care of his baby sister because his mom is mentally ill and strung out. He works hard to provide for both of them while trying to shield his sister as best he can. Savannah was supposed to be a one night stand but Luke can’t forget about her. He wants to see her again. She tries to blow him off but can’t seem to stay away from him either. Neither is looking for a relationship – Luke needs to focus on his sister and Savannah needs to focus on school. After her less – than – stellar upbringing she isn’t anxious to form attachments, either.  They form a strong bond until things blow up for Luke and he breaks things off. He feels like he needs to focus on his sister and mother and can’t have his attention divided. This breaks Savannah’s heart, until she realizes he’s suffering just as much.

I may be a bit old for this book. Generally the early 20s NA books work for me, but this one left me feeling old and too wise. As the title suggests, the relationship moved too fast. I cringed a bit when they said their I love yous, but I could have dealt with that if the story hadn’t ended the way it did. I thought Luke’s’ grand gesture’ was a bit too grand. For all intents and purposes, their relationship had been ongoing about 2 weeks, not including breakup time. That’s not very long, considering his gesture. At the end I wasn’t left with a sweet sense of completion, but instead a faint disbelief that all would work out to give them a HEA.
