What Are You Reading? (546)

Casee: I am reading a really good book called Fairytale Come Alive by Kristen Ashley. I’ll admit that I had my doubts in Holly this book because ghosts? Not really my thing. I am really happy I started this one though. After reading Lady Luck, I almost went on a KA hiatus. I’m glad I didn’t because this book has sucked me in so far.

I’m still listening to Marrying Winterborne by Lisa Kleypas. I’m really liking this couple. The narrator is also amazing which helps tremendously.

Holly: I’m still re-reading the Kate Daniels series. Our book club chose Magic Burns for November, and I ended up continuing on from there. This week I listened to Magic Slays, Magic Rises and Magic Breaks.

I set The Switch by Beth O’Leary aside in favor of KD, but I plan to pick it back up again this weekend.

What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

I’m reading Lauren Blakely’s ONE TIME ONLY, a super hot m/m romance about a rock star and his bodyguard.

    Since last time ~

    — For my local book group, Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. This was an interesting mix of nature writing and mystery; it’s the author’s first novel, but she’d already published three books about her work as a wildlife scientist in Africa. It was a gripping read with an ending that surprised me.
    — Companion Pieces: Stories from the Old World and Beyond by Melissa F. Olson; it’s a compilation of stories that I quite enjoyed. I’d recommend this book to those who’ve already read books by the author.
    — Killing Trail (A Timber Creek K-9 Mystery Book 1) by Margaret Mizushima; this is the first book in a mystery series and I enjoyed it.
    — and a boatload of book samples.
