WAYR-New

Casee: This has been a fantastic reading week for me. I read two whole books and I’m pretty far into my third. I finished Dark Legacy by Christine Feehan. It wasn’t my favorite of the series, but it kept me engaged. Then I read Storm Gathering, which is the third book in Rebecca Zanetti’s Scorpius Syndrome Series. Now I’m reading Winter Igniting, which is the fourth book in the same series. It’s amazing to me how many good books I have to read.

Holly: I had a pretty sad reading week. I really wanted to read, but things were crazy. What little bit of free time I had I spent watching Orange is the New Black instead of reading. I listened to White Hot and Clean Sweep by Ilona Andrews. I read Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid, which was just okay. I spent most of the book irritated about how oblivious the heroine was. I started The Hookup by Erin McCarthy, but set it aside in favor of Ocean Light by Nalini Singh, which is what I’m reading now. Next I’m going to read Natural Mage by K.F. Breene.

Rowena: This week started off strong for me and then I discovered The Good Doctor. I’ve been watching that show ever since I started it. I’ve cried a couple of times. I like it. But I did manage to get some reading done. I finally finished If You Don’t Have Anything Nice to Say by Leila Sales and that book, in my opinion was a hot mess and the more I read, the more I couldn’t freaking believe what I was reading. Gah. After that, I needed something to wash away the bad taste in my mouth so I jumped into The Hookup by Erin McCarthy and I read that entire book in one sitting. It was great. I really liked the heroine of that book. She was the best! Now I’m reading Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken and after this, I’m going to read Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid before going back into my review pile and starting The Way You Make Me Feel by Maurene Goo.

That’s all I got for this week. 🙂

    Some recent reads ~

    — The Last Wolf (The Legend of All Wolves)  by Maria Vale.  It took me a while to get caught up in the story, but I ultimately enjoyed it.  I look forward to reading the author’s next book set in this world.  The Last Wolf reminds me a bit of Anne Bishop’s The Others, but I can’t quite figure out why.  Tracy, I agree with your review of this book.
    — Melissa F. Olson’s Blood Gamble (Disrupted Magic Book 2) which I enjoyed.  I’d recommend that this series be read in order.  In fact, it would be best to start with the author’s earlier series since a number of the characters reappear.
    — re-read Sheri Cobb South’s For Deader or Worse and the short story, Finders Weepers. Read for the first time, Mystery Loves Company.  I enjoyed them all.
    — continued my re-read of T. Hammond’s Team Red books by reading books five and six: Blind-sided  and Blind Luck.

Confession, my house may be a disaster right now because I have not been able to put this book down…. Escapades by Lily Atlas, I have enjoyed her books in the past but this one is different. It’s about a married couple, (don’t always see that) and how the couple is DESPERATELY trying to salvage their marriage after experiencing the worst tragedy a human could possibly endure. The steam is strong with this one! But so is the emotional roller coaster, I am hooked! I found it here, http://www.lilyatlas.com
