WAYR-New

Holly: I’m finally reading again! Yay! I went back and finished reading the 7 books I started, and I read the first three books in Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series. I’m back, y’all!

Rowena: Ugh, time got away from me today but I’m here! This week, I didn’t read very many books but the ones that I did read rocked my socks. I just finished reading The Charlotte Chronicles by Jen Frederick and I really enjoyed it. It was emotionally draining (because dude, how many times could your heart break in one book?) but a satisfying read for me.

Right now I’m reading Before I Fall by Jessica Scott and so far, I’m liking it.

What are you reading this week? Any new favorites or books that drove you crazy? Share!

    Books read this week ~

    — Greg Cox’s Child of Two Worlds (Star Trek: The Original Series); it was a pleasant read but not something I’m likely to re-read.
    — Elle Kennedy’s new adult contemporary romance The Deal (Off-Campus Book 1). I enjoyed it again.
    — an anthology that I’ve been slowly reading over the last couple of weeks ~ Charmed and Dangerous: Ten Tales of Gay Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy. The contributors are Rhys Ford, Ginn Hale, KJ Charles, Nicole Kimberling, Jordan Castillo Price, Jordan L Hawk, Charlie Cochet, Lou Harper, Andrea Speed, and Astrid Amara. As with most anthologies, there were some stories I liked more and some I liked less. Overall though, it was a pleasant read.
    — I was on a Sarina Bowen kick and re-read The Year We Hid Away, Blonde Date: An Ivy Years Novella, and The Understatement of the Year.
    — the contemporary romance novella Letters From Home by Beth Rhodes. It was a pleasant book but not something I’d likely re-read.
    — Currently I’m re-reading the Cut and Run series by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux. So far, I’ve read Cut & Run, Sticks & Stones, and Fish & Chips. These are male/male romantic suspense books featuring two FBI agents.

I managed to squeeze in a novella, yay! And it was a really fun one, double yay! I read Ironheart by Nico Rosso, which is my first ever superhero romance.
