Holly: After months of not really reading, I finally found my mojo this week. I read 11 books in 3 days. Some were novellas, but I’m so excited to be reading again I don’t even care.

I re-read some books: The Lion’s Lady by Julie Garwood (yes, again. Don’t judge me), Rock Redemption by Nalini Singh (I savored it more this time through), Now You See Her by Linda Howard, Kill and Tell by Linda Howard, Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley and Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh.

I also read The Outback Bachelor Ball trilogy featuring Joan Kilby, Karina Bliss and Sarah Mayberry. All three were really good. I was sad to see it come to an end. The Opposite of Right by Christi Barth is the start of a new series about a rock band. It was a fun read. I struggled a bit with the timeline of the story, but overall I enjoyed it. Sunset Point by JoAnn Ross moved a little slow for me, but that might have been a personal thing and not a reflection of the story.

This morning I started Secret Sisters by Jayne Ann Krentz. I’m only a few pages in, but I have high hopes.

Rowena: I’m having issues getting books read this week. I’m just not in the mood. I read Kissing Her Crazy by Kira Archer which was good. Not the best book I’ve read this month but definitely not the worse either. Now, I’m reading True North by Liora Blake and I haven’t gotten very far in it. I blame my TV shows. They’re all coming back and I’ve been spending my free time watching them all (sometimes multiple times). Hmm. I hope I get back into a reading groove soon. I have books to read dangit!

What are you reading this week? Anything good? Bad? Share with us!

  1. Kareni

Books I read this week include:

    — Jennifer Ashley’s The Scandalous Mackenzies (two novellas which I enjoyed)
    — re-read The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley
    — Laura Griffin’s romantic suspense novel Shadow Fall (Tracers Series Book 9)\
    — Don’t Let Go by Sharla Lovelace; this is the first book I’ve read by this author, but I’d happily read more.
    — Jennifer Ashley’s paranormal romance Bad Wolf (Shifters Unbound).
    — re-read Mary Balogh’s Slightly Tempted (Bedwyn Saga).
    — The Last Chance Christmas Ball by Mary Jo Putney, Jo Beverley, Joanna Bourne, Patricia Rice, Nicola Cornick, Cara Elliott, Anne Gracie, and Susan King. This is a collection of eight stories that center around a Christmas ball. It was a pleasant read.
    — Nalini Singh’s Shards of Hope: A Psy-Changeling Novel (Psy/Changeling Series Book 14). It was a good read.
    — Currently reading and enjoying Forever your Earl by Eva Leigh

Not at all romantic, but some might be interested in this free Audible offering ~

FREE: Locke & Key by Joe Hill, Gabriel Rodriguez, Haley Joel Osment and Tatiana Maslany (Oct 5, 2015) – Original recording
