What Are You Reading? (257)

WAYR-New

Holly: I’m in the worst reading slump ever. I haven’t been reading anything at all. I did manage to read two new books this week (I swear there’s a third, but heck if I can remember which now), but it was a struggle. I started and set aside 10 books. 5 just in the last few days.

I read Shadow’s End by Thea Harrison and Rock Redemption by Nalini Singh. I also re-read The Lion’s Lady by Julie Garwood and Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh. I have no idea what I’m going to read next. Let’s hope something appeals to me.

Rowena: Wow, we’ve been total slackers when it comes to this feature. For my part, I’ve been completely busy at work. It drives me crazy that Fridays are my busiest day of the week. I don’t know about Holly, she’s probably just being lazy…haha. Just kidding.

This week I read Rock Redemption by Nalini Singh, Vicious Cycle and Redemption Road by Katie Ashley and All I Want by Jill Shalvis. I enjoyed the Singh and the Shalvis but not the Katie Ashleys. Those just didn’t work for me. In both books, the hero and heroines got on my hot damn nerves.

Right now I’m going to start a quick re-read of Kill and Tell by Linda Howard before jumping into Claimed by Elle Kennedy. I’m excited to start the Kennedy because duh, it’s a Kennedy book. She rocks!

Ooh, a forthcoming Thea Harrison book … I’m envious!

I’m currently mid-way through two books (both good) ~ Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon and Static by L.A. Witt.

    Books finished this week:

    — Dragon’s Lair, Arrow’s Hell, and Tracker’s End all by Chantal Fernando.
    — Love Irresistibly and It Happened One Wedding by Julie James (re-reads)
    — The Life Intended by Kristin Harmel (good but initially sad)
    — Two Across by Jeffrey Bartsch (I did some skimming half way through)
    — Fever Pitch by Heidi Cullinan (which I very much enjoyed)

Boo, no reading time the last couple weeks. But, I have been listening to Cary Elwes’s book As You Wish in the car. Frankly, the book is a little boring but it’s still sweet for a princess bride fan like me, and it’s totally making me want to dig out my DVD of the movie.
