Rowena: April started really slow for me but by the end of the book and into May, my reading has really picked up. Guys, this makes me happy because I will finally have something to report to you guys. April was the month of Elle Kennedy. Kennedy was recommended to me and I’m super grateful because I’m loving this Killer Instincts series. I’m so glad that I still have a couple of books left to read before I have to wait for the next one to come out.

Hello, Goodbye and Everything Else Between by Jennifer E. Smith | 4 out of 5
The Shameless Hour (Ivy Years #4) by Sarina Bowen | 3.5 out of 5
Fall with Me (Wait for You #4) by J. Lynn | 3 out of 5
Midnight Rescue (Killer Instincts #1) by Elle Kennedy | 4.25 out of 5
Midnight Alias (Killer Instincts #2) by Elle Kennedy | 4.25 out of 5
Midnight Games (Killer Instincts #3) by Elle Kennedy | 4.75 out of 5
The Mistake (Off Campus #2) by Elle Kennedy | 4.75 out of 5

My favorite read of the month goes to The Mistake by Elle Kennedy. I just loved it. I laughed, I happy sighed, I got teary eyed, this book just did it for me. I loved Logan and Grace and I loved their story. It was exactly what I needed at the right time (it helped pull me out of a reading slump so yay!).

My least favorite read of the month is Fall with Me by J. Lynn. Overall, I enjoyed the story but holy crap did Roxy get on my nerves. I wanted to pull her hair throughout the book because she was acting so dumb where Reece was concerned, where the stalker was concerned and it drove me nuts. She gets her shit together by the end of the book but she took her sweet time coming around.

Holly: April was a sad reading month for me. I read 11 books, which is about 9 books less than my average. It wouldn’t be a big deal, except I really wanted to read. I just didn’t have time. Hopefully May will be better, though my oldest is graduating in a month, so probably not. A girl can dream, though, right?

Ride Steady by Kristen Ashley | 4 out of 5
The Mistake by Elle Kennedy | 4.25 out of 5
Beastly by Alex Flinn | 2.75 out of 5
Two of Hearts by Christina Lee | 3 out of 5
Moonlight on Nightingale Way by Samantha Young | 4 out of 5
The Deal by Elle Kennedy (re-read) | 4.5 out of 5
Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh (re-read) | 4.75 out of 5
Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh (re-read) | 4 out of 5
Archangel’s Kiss by Nalini Singh (re-read) | 4 out of 5
Archangel’s Consort by Nalini Singh (re-read) | 4 out of 5
Alpha and Omega Novella by Patricia Briggs (re-read) | 4.5 out of 5

I enjoyed a number of books this month ~
Something True (An Out in Portland Novel) by Karelia Stetz-Waters
    Colleen Hoover’s Confess: A Novel
Trade Me (Cyclone Book 1) by Courtney Milan
and Whistling in the Dark by Tamara Allen

Least favorite is always hard as I generally just put a book aside if I’m not enjoying it.

I’d love to read The Mistake by Elle Kennedy.

I only read 14 books in April despite 60 hour work weeks, so not too bad considering. luckily it’s tapering off after 2 months of insanity so I’m hoping to get to relax and read more. Ummm.. fav read was a tie between Satisfaction by Sarah Mayberry and Changing His Game by Megan Erickson. Loved these sooo much. I think b/c my time was so limited, I was a bit picker and only read what I knew I’d like. It’s not really a least fav read but it’s the only “lower” rating that I gave on goodreads, but I think I just wasn’t in the mood for The Queen’s Consorts by Kele Moon. I usually like her books, so I think I was just feeling meh and it bleed over into my reading. I’m hoping to finally get to dive into The Mistake this month and catch up on some TBR pile books. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the giveaway. I enjoyed reading It Started With a Scandal by Julie Anne Long and Maybe This Christmas by Sarah Morgan. My least favorite read was The Liar by Nora Roberts. The killer was obvious on Page 1 and the heroine paid off debts that weren’t hers. Those two things really hurt this book.
