Rowena: It’s been one of those weeks where I haven’t had much going on but I’m doing everything else but reading. 2015 is starting out really slow on the reading front for me but I’m still hopeful that things will turn around. I did manage to get some reading done.

I finally finished Mine to Possess by Nalini Singh. I ended up enjoying it but not nearly as much as the other books then I jumped right into Dorian and Ashaya’s book, Hostage to Pleasure and I couldn’t put that book down. I loved it. I loved Dorian. I loved Ashaya and I loved Keenan.  I also really loved Judd in this book. He’s freaking awesome. I wanted to jump right into Branded by Fire but I need to slow my roll. I decided to finish The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand and then after that, my plan is to pick up Falling from the Sky by Sarina Bowen. I was just scrolling through the books on my iPad and there are so many books that I want to read this year so I need to get my butt in gear and crack that whip. Get those suckers read. Wish me luck.

Holly: My week has been crazy busy. I’ve barely had time to think, much less read. I ended up doing some re-reading, since, as I’ve said before, it’s easier for me to do a quick re-read when I’m busy than read something new.

I did a re-read of Rock Addiction and Rock Courtship after I finished Rock Hard last week. I also re-read Sweet Dreams and Golden Trail by Kirsten Ashley.  Because of Azteclady, also re-read Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase (LoS is on sale for Kindle $3.99 add the Audiobook for 2.99 and switch back and forth. Nook $3.99!)

The only new book I read this week was Deep by Kylie Scott. Lizzy and Ben! It was good, but I thought it ended a little too soon. I’m currently about halfway through Midnight’s Kiss by Thea Harrison. I’m loving it so far.

What are you reading?

  1. I stayed up until about midnight last night to finish Dog Day Wedding by Rich Amooi. If I had to describe it in one word, it would Fun. With a capital F! I laughed many times while reading it. This morning I started Bounty Hunter by Donna Kauffman, which I won from her on a giveaway on her FB page. It’s a Loveswept from 1994 – I love older books like this!

    • I love older books too. I’m going to look both of those books up because I haven’t heard of the books and I haven’t even heard of that first author.

      Happy reading!

I’ve been on a bit of a UF kick lately. I picked up Written in Red by Anne Bishop last week when it was on sale. The sample was so good that I knew I wouldn’t want to be interrupted by work, so I waited until today to start it and now I’m utterly hooked.

  3. I am reading Why Kings Confess by C S Harris – a Sebastian St Cyr mystery. Tis #9 in the series – couldn’t stop myself gobbling them all down 😀 A fantastic series. And after woofing down the whole of the backlist, now I will have to wait for one book a year . . . one a year *sob* 🙁

    Willa,

You may want to read her writing as Candice Proctor or her sister’s writing as Penelope Williamson (both wrote historical romances in the 1990’s or in the 2000’s. )
I’m reading Hot and Bothered by Kate Meader a contemporary friends to lovers story set in Chicago. Great book.
