The New York Times bestselling author of On Dublin Street, Down London Road, and Before Jamaica Lane returns with a story about letting go of the past and learning to trust in the future....
When Hannah Nichols last saw Marco D’Alessandro five long years ago, he broke her heart. The bad boy with a hidden sweet side was the only guy Hannah ever loved—and the only man she’s ever been with. After one intense night of giving in to temptation, Marco took off, leaving Scotland and Hannah behind. Shattered by the consequences of their night together, Hannah has never truly moved on.
Leaving Hannah was the biggest mistake of Marco’s life—something he has deeply regretted for years. So when fate reunites them, he refuses to let her go without a fight.  Determined to make her his, Marco pursues Hannah, reminding her of all the reasons they’re meant to be together....
But just when Marco thinks they’re committed to a future together, Hannah makes a discovery that unearths the secret pain she’s been hiding from him—a secret that could tear them apart before they have a real chance to start over again....

I really enjoyed Hannah in the previous books (especially Down London Road) and looked forward to finding out the details about her and Marco. Young did well with the story. I was fully immersed.

Hannah and Marco were friends in high school. Though Hannah made it clear on more than one occasion she was interested in more, Marco brush her off. Until one fateful night when they ended up in bed together. Marco disappeared right after and left Hannah alone and brokenhearted.

Five years later Hannah runs into Marco at a wedding. She’s still hurt and disappointed in him from before, but Marco isn’t the same young man he was. He’s all grown up and wants Hannah. Not for a night or as a friend, but for always. Hannah puts him off at first, but it isn’t long until he wins her over.

Until a secret he’s been keeping comes to light. Then Hannah is faced with her past and Marco’s initial desertion all over again. As much as she’d like to be with him, she has too many scars – and too many fears – to stay with him. But Marco isn’t giving up, because he knows they’re meant to be together.

Down London Road was one of my best reads of 2013. I can’t tell you how many times I re-read it. Though I liked On Dublin Street and Before Jamaica Lane, neither touched Down London Road. While Fall From India Place didn’t grab me like DLR did, I did enjoy it more than the other two books in the series.

On the surface, Hannah seems like a strong young woman who has her life together. She has close friends and a strong relationship with her family. She’s establishing a career she really enjoys. She has her own place and hobbies and interests. The only thing she doesn’t have is a man, but who needs one? Except the truth is, Hannah isn’t as strong as we think. She’s really scarred from things that happened in her past and afraid of letting people in. She held on to her fears longer than I’d hoped, but given the circumstances I can’t say I blame her. At first I was frustrated, but as I came to understand her it was easy to sympathize with her.

Marco was closed off and confused in high school, but the adult Marco had all his issues worked out. He was strong, steady and willing to fight for what he wanted. I thought Young did an excellent job of showing us how Marco matured. He really found himself and accepted who he was, which came across well.

Despite their personal issues, Marco and Hannah always came across as a strong couple. Even when Hannah was pushing him away their connection was palpable. There was a never a time I wasn’t fully invested in their relationship. I wanted them to be together and couldn’t wait for them to get their issues figured out. I love that Marco fought for her – for them – every step of the way.

This is an emotionally intense, well-drawn romance. Young drew me into her story and made me feel like I was living it with the rest of them.
