To truly have her, he must free her from her dark secret…

Enforcer Erin Flynn has dedicated her life to protecting her kind. But keeping her heart safe from Noah Campbell, the smoking-hot shifter who saved her life last year, is more difficult. The deadly beauty would love to sink into his arms and become his mate, but she knows she can’t—he must never know about her dark past.

When Erin is sent to investigate the disappearances of pregnant shifters in New Orleans, Erin and Noah find themselves involved in a mystery more sinister than anyone expected. And as Erin delves further into the crimes, chilling information about her own past is revealed. The people who wanted her dead in the first place are trying to finish the job, and Noah wants nothing more than to shield her from harm. But can Erin truly trust Noah and let him see the wounded beast she’s hidden for so long?

Erin has a past that she hasn’t shared with anyone. She knows that Noah is her mate but he’s also her best friend. She knows that if he knows the deepest secret she carries that he won’t want her any longer. She puts that to the back of her mind, however, when she goes on her first case as an enforcer. Erin and Noah head to New Orleans to investigate when pregnant shifters start disappearing. The pair work well together and with the help of the Fae warrior, Brianna, and another pack mate, Angelo, they make quick work of discovering who is behind these horrific kidnappings.

While they investigate some of the occurrences hit very close to home for Erin and Noah discovers more about Erin’s past. He loves Erin and wants nothing but the best for her but when the men who attempted murder on her once before show up again Erin’s not sure she can survive the emotional turmoil.

This was a great book in the series. I love the ranch that the pack has but it was nice to move to a different location and deal with some evil-doers that we hadn’t heard about before. 🙂

I loved Noah and Erin together in this story. They were so perfect for each other and I loved how they appreciated the badass in the other. Seeing the other fight the bad guys totally turned them on and I loved that. Both of these characters had gone through quite a lot in their lives and that comes out in this book. I thought the way that Noah’s past came out in the story was so well done and it blended right in with what was happening with Erin.

In this story we got a secondary romance with Angelo and Brianna and I thought that was a nice bonus. I’ve liked Brianna since she came on the scene in the series so it was lovely seeing them get together. Of course there will be issues with her family as she’s Fae (royalty, no less) but their love will survive.

Overall a great paranormal read. I’m looking forward to the next in the Moon Shifters series.

Rating: 4 out of 5

  1. I haven't read the rest of the series, but I really like this cover. Is that reason enough to pick the book? LOL.

    Thanks for the review Tracy!
