Into the DreamingNatalia’s review of Into the Dreaming by Karen Marie Moning.

Aspiring romance novelist Jane Sillee was completely in love with her fantasy man — the hot and strapping dark-haired Highlander who d been coming to her in her dreams for years and inspired her sensual flights of literary fancy.

But it was more than her imagination that conjured up the brilliantly woven tapestry sporting the spitting image of her magnificently arrogant warrior. It was more than a dream that transported her to medieval Scotland to break an evil spell. And it was more than she could handle when she found herself wrapped in the muscular arms of Aedan MacKinnon, who had his own fantasies to fulfill…

What a cute read!

This book has left me with a smile on my face and sadness in my heart because it means that I’ve read everything Karen Marie Moning has written. Hurry up and write more, Karen!

Jane and Aden have loved each other in dreams for as long as they both can remember. Jane being in the 21 century, Aden trapped in the unsealey prison of the fee after a pact gone wrong with the king. Not knowing why, they are both thrust in to a 14th century castle. Aden with no idea who Jane is, or who he is for that matter, and Jane with the task of making him remember. They have a month to figure everything out between them.

I loved this plot. The idea that you could meet your soul mate in dreams is incredibly romantic to me. I loved the chemistry between Aden and Jane. It was raw, humorous, angsty, and of course a happy ending. All the things I love about a good romance. I was sad to see the story end.

My only problem with this book is that it left some loose ends. Jane constantly made references to her family in the 21 century, but we never find out what happens to them. Does she just abandon her whole life to be with this man? Seems a bit too unrealistic to me.

Overall though, the story was adorable. I’m looking forward to anything Karen comes up with next.

  1. I LOVE KMM. I too read everything by her, though, honestly, the new Dani OMalley series isn’t quite doing it for me yet. But everything else, boy, I love. Especially her Highlander romances.
Nice review. This was a sweet, short one. I liked it a lot.
