The First Friday in November: What Are You Reading?

Holly: Bupkiss. That’s what I’m reading. I’m in some kind of nasty reading funk. I finished out the month of October on a pretty high note, but November is not going well. Nothing I pick up appeals to me. I’ve tried genre hopping and re-reading old favorites..nothing is working. I need a slump buster. Any suggestions?

Rowena: It must be in the air because I haven’t been able to get into any of the books that I’ve started. I’m trying to read Because of You by Jessica Scott and Saving June by Hannah Harrington. Both books are good but I’m having trouble staying focused long enough to get any actual reading done, my mind is all over the place. I’m going to finish those books though because I’m really liking Because of You. We’ll see how it goes.

What are you reading?

Finishing up Playing Dirty by Susan Andersen, which is pretty meh. But looking forward to starting Unveiled by Courtney Milan next! — willaful

  2. I’m still rationing If You Hear Her by Shiloh Walker–did I mention the next one doesn’t come out until frakking February? *pulling of hair*

Other than that, RL is still kicking my ass big, huge big, time, so no other reading going on right now.

I just finished an arc by new author, Cecelia Grant. Her book is due out next month and is entitled, A Lady Awakened. It’s about a woman who was just widowed and learns that her husband’s heir would mistreat the servants. So she devises a plan to become pregnant and keep her husband’s estate. It was a very nice read.

I’m now reading Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis.

  4. Scrapbook Sensations

Just finished Sweet Justice by Christy Reece. I enjoyed this book but bummed to find out my library only has 2 of her books.
