It’s President’s Day Weekend. What Are You Reading?

Holly: My family did the most amazing thing for me this weekend..they went away. Every last one of them. Since Friday it has been just me and the dogs at home. Well, and my TBR pile. Which I’ve been working my way through (along with some of my old favorites). Yesterday I read Bed of Roses by Katherine Stone. I adore Stone. Her writing is a lot on the flowery side and her plots are more often than not completely over the top, but they’re very readable. I always fall into them and emerge with a feeling of contentment. I think I might do a mini-binge and read all the ones I have in my TBR pile – along with some of the old favorites I have on my keeper shelf.

I also caught up on Suzanne Enoch’s Adventurer Club series. I had Rules of an Engagement and A Lady’s Guide to Improper Behavior in my TBR pile and decided to finally read them. I’m glad I did. I enjoyed both books immensely. I’m just sad she hasn’t written a book for the Duke yet. Hopefully we’ll get it soon!

Casee: I have finally turned it around. My reading that is. I’ve read some really good books in the last week. I read Call Me Irresistible by SEP, A Light at Winter’s End by Julia London, and Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole. I’m reading Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh. That’s right…I’m reading Hawke’s book and each time I pick it up I squee inside. Like I can’t believe I have it in my hands. I can’t believe that I’m actually reading it. I just can’t.believe.it. Don’t worry, it’s totally worth the wait and I’m saying that when I’m only halfway through it.

Rowena: I’m reading The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern. I’ve only gotten about six chapters in but I’m hopeful that it will get better. Its been a pretty sucky week of reading for me and I’m so over not having time to read. Gah.

What are you reading?

    Casee,
I’m totally envious of you, as your reading about my man Hawke! Hawke and Sienna are my favorite couple already, just based on all that tension in the previous books. Glad you’re enjoying it!!

  2. I am re-reading Play of Passion by Nalini singh…waiting till Kiss of Snow.

I’m so jealous… I want Hawke so much… Are you going to put the review when you finish the book or do we have to wait till closer of the release date?

I’m reading a tween book called Flirt Club by Cathleen Daly. I really like it so far. It’s funny and interesting.
