It’s 10/17/10. What Are You Reading? (29)

Holly: I can’t believe October is half over. It’s crazy. Before we know it Christmas will be here, then the new year. I’m not ready for that to happen yet, are you?

This week has been pretty quiet for me on the reading front. I’ve been wanting to read, I just haven’t been able to get into much. I did manage to do some Rachel Gibson re-reads. I also read Lauren Dane‘s Cherchez pack series (well, if two books makes a series). Otherwise..meh. I’m stuck. I started Wolf at the Door by Christine Warren after finishing Dane’s books because I was in the mood for more shifters. I stalled out around chapter nine. I think it has something to do with the overload of paranormal beings. I might go back to it later, but for now I’m setting it aside. Maybe I’ll start one of the free eBooks I downloaded from M&B the other day.

Rowena: I’ve got a lot of things on my plate right now so you’d think that it would hinder my reading but I don’t think it has. At least not much. At the moment, I’m reading The Bikini Car Wash by Pamela Morsi and Tweet Heart by Elizabeth Rudnick. Both books are so far, so good. Over the week, I finished re-reads of some Rachel Gibson books (Sex, Lies and Online Dating, In No Mood for Love and Tangled Up in You) along with Maybe This Time by Jennifer Crusie so yeah, it’s been a good reading week for me.

Casee: Someone needs to smack Holly’s fingers or better yet put tape over her mouth for mentioning the Ch word in October. I would do the honors, but I live several states away. Then again, it is a perfect reason to go visit.

I’m finally reading No Mercy by Sherrilyn Kenyon. My name finally came up on the waiting list. There were a lot of names on that list, too. So far it’s pretty good. Your usual Dark Hunter fare. I’ve always enjoyed Dev’s character and he’s just as crazy and he’s always been. It’s a nice change of pace to have a Dark Hunter heroine. I was going to start listing the things I’m unhappy with, but I’ll save that for my review.

So what are you reading?

  1. I’m reading a Sandra Brown book “Play Dirty”. It is so well put together. I don’t usually read suspense, so at my mother’s suggestion, I picked up a used copy of this and … We all know our mother’s are always right.
    Thanks Mom

I’m bogged down in Pleaures of a Dark Prince. This book is just not working for me. And then they had to go to the Amazon.

Thinking of starting Sinful in Satin, which I just bought. — willaful

  3. I’m reading some oldies by Betty Neels, Warrior by Zoe Archer and Cold Magic by Kate Elliot.

After I finished these books I plan to read Ordeal by T.K. Varenko.

  4. I’ve been reading/re-reading KA Mitchell the last week or so. Diving in Deep, Collision Course, No Souvenirs, Life Over Easy, Regularly Scheduled Life, Chasing Smoke – all good books but I think Regularly Scheduled Life and No Souvenirs are the best. I’m looking forward to Not Knowing Jack which is coming out in December sometime.

I’m reading I’ll Be Slaying You by Cynthia Eden– been on a reading binge of her books lately 🙂
