Genres: Paranormal Romance

Main Character: Schuyler Van Alen
Series:
Blue Bloods, Book 2

Schuyler van Alen wants an explanation for the mysterious deaths of young vampires. With her best friend, Oliver, Schuyler travels to Italy in the hope of finding the one man who can help – her grandfather. Meanwhile, back in New York, preparations are feverishly under way for the Four Hundred Ball, an exclusive gala hosted by the city’s wealthy, powerful, and unhuman- a true Blue Bloods affair.

But it’s at the after-party, a masquerade ball thrown by the cunning Mimi Force, that the real danger lurks. Hidden behind the masks is a revelation that will forever change the course of a young vampire’s destiny.

Rich with glamour, attitude, and vampire lore, this second installment in the Blue Bloods saga will leave readers thirsting for more.

Melissa De La Cruz knocked it out of the park with this latest addition to the Blue Bloods series. My friend Theresa has seriously created a monster when she told me about these books. I read this book in one day. I was an hour late for work because I had to know what was going to happen in this book and now that I’m finished with it, I’m dying to know who the Silver Blood is.

So many things pop off over the course of this book and if you’re a lesser person it might get overwhelming but me? I ate.it.all.up. I couldn’t get enough of this book and while I like Jack a little more…do I think he’s good enough for our Schuyler?

Not by a long shot.

His relationship with Mimi gets in the way of my wanting him to get with Schuyler and while we’re talking about him getting with Schuyler, did I miss something?

Because, it hasn’t been that long since he bumped into her at the club and though it feels like forever ago since he kissed her so passionately, I’m not getting how he’s in love with her. I mean, that kind of felt forced and might be why I’m not totally sold on him and Schuyler yet. I can understand him being infatuated with her, being mighty intrigued by her and hell even in lust with her but love? I’m not seeing that. But as much as that stumped me, I hecka loved this book.

My heart soared, my heart broke and I fell a little more in love with these characters. From Schuyler to Oliver (awww Ollie) to Bliss and Dylan. These guys totally rock my socks and I cannot wait for more from this series. I absolutely adore this series and could not pimp it out enough.

It’s a great story that will have you totally dying for more so pick this book up and read it already but start with Blue Bloods first.

Trust me, you have to read these books!

  1. I enojyed this book and it just makes you want to read on to see what happens in the next book which is even better! Everything will unfold and when it does its good. I was cheering on Ollie and Schuyler but that didn’t last long he’s in the FRIEND ZONE, but what a good friend he is. But can’t wait to see what you think about the rest of the books.

  2. Ugh, I’m so bummed that I read this series so fast because now I gotta wait until October for the next installment though there’s a Blue Bloods related book coming out at the end of this month which me and Tita were talking about reading so there’s that I guess.

I enjoyed this book but Jack hasn’t won me over completely which I find strange because I ALWAYS fall hard for the main guy of the book.

    Weird.

Oh well, bring on Misguided Angel. =)
