Judith’s review of Driven by Jayne Rylon

Lynn Madison transformed from repressed corporate drone to bold seductress overnight when her online friends at “Tempt the Cougar” encouraged her to take charge of her destiny. Their advice haunts her as she drools over the hottest Italian stallion on the planet while stranded in an airport.

Sebastian Fiori is a master of speed. A rally car driver, he’s used to winning on and off the track. He sees no need to put on the brakes when a sexy sophisticate revs his engine. After spotting Lynn’s decadent menage novel, he decides to take her for the ride of a lifetime—with his navigator Mark along for the ride. Storm delays would be far more upsetting if Lynn’s young stud wasn’t offering a first-class ticket to indulge her fantasy. Neither of them expects their rendezvous to last beyond their transatlantic flight on his private jet. But sometimes there’s no escaping the forces of nature.

Older women with younger men—not your socially accepted norm, no matter where you live, and certainly kept under wraps most of the time. And yet, society’s verdict that “over 40 women” are over the hill sexually and nearly every other way, is ridiculous to most people and especially to the over-40 women in question. The Tempt the Cougar group is here to tell everyone that women of experience are just as exciting if not more so that the young nubile things that may tempt a man away from his hearth and home, who are often not much more than a gorgeous body. Maybe that’s what is desired, but for women like Lynn Madison, there’s lots more living to be done.

Encountering Sebastian Fiori in an airport after their flight is downed by bad weather—the entire East Coast is essentially shut down—was causing lustful longings and fantasies that Lynn didn’t feel she could encourage at the moment. She was launching a new endeavor—writing travel guides for single women which were honest, realistic, and based in first-hand research. She was due on an international flight in five hours and it didn’t look like she was going to make it. Until Sebastian, a rally car race driver with an international reputation and solid sponsorship, invites her to share his limo to their departure city. It didn’t take Lynn too long to make up her mind, especially after it became clear that Sebastian’s eyes were as filled with desire for her as her’s were for him. Who cared if he was 12 years younger than she. After encouragement from her Cougar email pen pals, she accepts his invitation and then his further invitation for their transatlantic flight. Only one caveat: There would be three of them on the private jet and they wouldn’t just be swapping recipes for Italian gourmet dishes!

This is one of those sizzling hot romances – a woman who is beginning to doubt her feminine worth who takes the opportunity to experience desire and passion, to fulfill her sexual fantasies with two gorgeous men. Sebastian is a really caring man, ill informed about the need women have to be in charge of their own futures, but really seeking to be helpful and thoughtful. His rapid learning curve in that department is testimony to the personal integrity he possesses. His warm and loving Italian mamma has taught him well. Lynn is bright and beautiful, determined to make her future more meaningful than her past, and is willing to risk some emotional wounds along the way. Mark, Sebastian’s navigator, is a good friend and companion and a darling “playmate.” All in all, these three people are warm and caring and it is story that is fun and passionate and a good way to spend a short period of time with a fun group of people.

This is a short story, lots of sex, fun dialogue, international travel, some menage action, and an opportunity to share a good story.

I give this story a 3.75 out of 5.
