It’s 4/18, What Are You Reading? (4)

Rowena: It’s a new week and we’re all reading new books. I’ve had a pretty good reading week this week and I’ve read quite a few books since the last time we did this post. Right now I’m reading Seducing the Highlander by Emma Wildes. It was a pretty wild eye opener for me having come off a serious YA binge and then digging right into this book. There’s so much sexing going on this book that my eyebrows keep rising up and down my face but I’m enjoying it for the most part. Right now, my favorite hero of the three heroes in this book is Robbie. He’s smexy.

Casee: After trying to read Patience, I moved on after two chapters. I’m planning on going back to it at some point. After that, I picked up White Heat by Brenda Novak. I love Brenda’s romantic suspense series. I’ve read her since she first started writing single titles. She keeps getting better with each book.

Holly: I read All Over You by Sarah Mayberry yesterday. It’s part of her Secret Lives of Daytime Divas series. The heroine had major commitment issues and she skirted close to my person TSTL line several times, but she always managed to pull herself back. I really enjoyed it.

This morning I finished What the Librarian Did by Karina Bliss. I picked it up after Super Wendy blogged about it but just now finished reading it. It was really good. Once again the heroine skirted the line – she may have even dipped a tow over it now and again – but in the end I think she made up for it. I love that it was a Librarian and an ex-Rock Star. The combination was perfect.

I haven’t decided what I’m going to read next. Any suggestions?

So, what are you reading?

  1. I just finished “Somebody Killed His Editor” by Josh Lanyon and am getting ready to start on “Blue Diablo” by Ann Aguirre (in print).

I might start on another one on my Kindle so that I have something to distract me while I’m on the elliptical, but I really want to focus on one book at a time for now. With finals coming up, my mind will have enough of an issue keeping track of one book, LOL.

  2. I’m getting ready to start Out of Mind by Stella Cameron. I read and liked the first one in the series. I’ve been in a reading slump.

I just finished the Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong and reading In for a Penny by Rose Lerner. Oh and I was reading Moon Called by Patricia Briggs which i displaced in my room somewhere amidst the packing.

  4. I just finished Silver Borne by patricia Briggs, very good. Now i am reading Marly’s Choice by Lora Leigh and a manga series called Love Mode.

I just read my first Julia London – The boko of Scandal and I loved it! Am reading the sequal now, Highland scandal, although its reviews were not so encouraging.

I read Emma Wildes’ Lessons from a Scarlet Lady and really enjoyed it. Have an Indecent Proposition in my piles.

  6. I just finished “Savor the moment” by Nora Roberts and will start with “Through the Veil” by Shiloh Walker today. Next I plan to read “This Pen to hire” by Laura Levine.

  7. I tend to alternate between UF and Romance, so I just finished Working for the Devil by Lilith Saintcrow and started on Start Me Up by Victoria Dahl.

I loved Working for the Devil. I’ve already got the second book in the series (there are 5 total) so I’ll probably start that later this week.

  8. Chelsea B.

I’m reading Ravished by Amanda Quick! Its my first book by her, and I’m really enjoying it! I’m loving watching the hero and heroine’s relationship gradually grow. Its definitely a character driven book, and what fantastic characters they are!

I’m reading the STOLEN series by Elisabeth Naughton (Stolen Fury, Stolen Heat & Stolen Seduction). They’re romantic suspense and pretty darn good. I’ll probably try her paranormal book when it’s released later this month.

  10. @Kris – is that your first time reading Marly’s Choice?

I finished Instant Temptation by Jill Shalvis last night. It was good. I loved TJ.

Now I’m not sure what to read. I should probably try to kill some of the books in my towering TBR pile…

    Holly,

Ooh, I loved Instant Temptation too. I thought it was such a good one. TJ rocked out! All the hiking they did in that book reminded me of you and MM.

    Anon #1,

I really enjoyed Emma Wildes’ Lessons from a Scarlet Lady, she’s a great author!

    Anon #2,

Is Airhead a good book? I’m curious about that one, did you like it?

    Sabrina,

I finished Savor the Moment a few weeks ago and while I thought it was good, Jack and Emma’s story remains my favorite. I’m excited for Parker’s story though.
